    12/20 GDT: Blues 3, Red Wings 2

Off Topic: Marian Gaborik has 5 goals and 1 assist in the Wild/NYR game.

    Addition by subtraction

Care to elaborate on how losing Markov's physical presence and unmatched passion for the game was "dead weight."

    12/20 GDT: Blues 3, Red Wings 2

Ozzie is in tonight Draper was told he wouldn't play in both back-to-back games since he was just coming off his injury but I remember reading last night that he was going to try to talk to coaches out of it by skating this morning and seeing how he felt. Kris said he felt absolutely fine after last nights game so I see no reason why he wouldn't be in tonight. Blues - 3 (Kariya/Boyes/Perron) Red Wings - 2 (Hulder/Rafalski) Sorry dudes. I think we are due for a loss. having played last night I think we will fail to keep our feet moving and as a result take too may penalties. Osgood keeps the game as close as he can but we are obviously gassed and simply run out of time. PROOVE ME WRONG GUYS!!!

Well, by golly, I thought I was the only one!!!

CHI Trades Jim Vandermeer To PHI For Ben Eager

Kukla's Korner I actually had this guy on my list of players we should take a look at for the deadline. Maybe with Chicago becoming more competitive trading with-in the division wasn't an option.

Who wants to join me in predicting Marc Crawford will be fired tomorrow??? And I'm completely serious. I think it will happen.

    12/19 GDT: Red Wings 6, Kings 2

According to The Free Press, Draper is in tonight and Downey will sit. As much as I love players who earn everything they get, I do not understand how Ellis brings more to this team than Downey.

    Fire on Ice gone?

Well at least they took care of the pink.

The best team money can buy

Getzlaf already signed an extension for $26.5M over 5 years and McDonald was traded in order to free up some cash for Perry. They have more work to do in order to have enough to not insult Perry, but they are not "screwed" at all.

    12/15 GDT: Red Wings 5, Panthers 2

I was at the game tonight and from what I saw, the crowd looked like a normal size for this year. They may have sold all the the tickets, but it wasn't even 75% full.

    Osgood winning almost all

Anyone know the largest differential between a goalies wins and losses???

    New Replay Cam!

Well of course. The ONE Red Wings game I miss this season (was coming back from NMU and it was a blizzard throughout most of the UP so it took almost 9 hours to get back to Detroit...) they go and do something that sounds awesome. Anyone have an example/video of what the new replay cam is???

    League has balanced power

Anyone else getting a little worried about all these Pro-Red Wing articles??? When we are expected to be the best is when we usually fail...(Exception - 2001-02 )

Doug Weight traded to Anaheim for Andy McDonald

Oh boy, Burkie. What are you thinking??? This is one hell of a lopsided move...

Joffrey Lupul is having a crazy game

3 goals 2 assists for Umberger as well. Close to 100PIM total in this game. Really entertaining!!!

    Euro-Problems

Sounded like Kenny Mayne completely drunk out of his mind. What was with the other guy laughing in the background?

Do we actually have it all?

I just don't see a team like Minnesota giving up one of their key palyers to another WC team, especially one already as lethal as Detroit. Minnesota will more than likely be in the hunt for the NW Division lead the rest of the season so i do not see them being sellers at the deadline. Backstrom is one of those goalies who I feel could get hot in the playoffs and let his team ride him until the Finals. Knowing that every team has a chance to win on any given night, the Wild would be smart to keep Rolston, even if that means taking the risk of losing him in the off-season for nothing. Same goes for Columbus and Fedorov, except for the part about being in the hunt for their division...

Chelios makes trip to Nashville due to possible injury on defense

Lidstrom Shrugs Off Hip Flexor Looks like it was Nick with the injury. Everyone should be giving thanks to the hockey Gods that this one turned out to be nothing major.

Do we actually have it all?

That is what every team is looking for and we do not have the ability to outbid other teams who have stocked up draft picks for years (i.e. Chicago/Anaheim/Pittsburgh/Edmonton) . Don't get me wrong, I would love a power forward on this team, but I'm not giving up 2 roster players and a top round draft pick for one. Save as much cap room as possible for the off-season and sign one on July 1st, right after Kenny & Co. announce that they have signed Zetterberg to a 15 year deal for $6.25M a season.

    Draper out two weeks

Draper Returns To The Ice "Draper skated with a fitted knee brace for nearly 20-minutes Friday morning. He’ll likely have to wear the brace for the foreseeable future."

Holland and Nill Promoted - Violetta Added

It could get worse with Violetta. I remember Legionnaire pointing out a few marketing aspects that Violetta tried with the Predators and they were scary to think about. I believe one of them was blacking out playoff games and blaming individual fans for bad attendance in Nashville. As for running the organizing like the Tigers, I'm assuming they meant from a marketing stand point, which the Tiger's are better at.

    Johan Franzen

Right after Franzen went down with his knee injury, Draper had a 5 game goal streak. Now since Draper has been out of the line-up, Franzen is starting to score.

    Johan Franzen

Franzen is really beginning to find his game. Ironic it came at the expense of Kris Draper...
