This is just getting ridiculous. Holland is going to have to take a good, long, hard look at Kronwall this year and make a decision. Hope these injuries are just innocent coincidences or if Kronwall plays too rough of a style for someone his size. Sooner or later Holland is going to have to decide whether or not to trade him.

From what I read over at MLive today, Babcock sounds like he is going to be giving the start on Wednesday to Osgood. "Hasek said he hopes to play Wednesday -- but he'll have to run that by Babcock, first. "He won't be going Wednesday, probably, but he'll go when he goes,"

Anyone think this could be comparable to what Zetterberg gets??? I for one would be ecstatic if we got Z for this deal. Don't need to worry about the No-Trade-Clause for obvious reasons Get it done Kenny!!! (Next season, that is)

I do not understand how someone with a career GAA of 2.48 and a SV % of .914 is making $6M+. The guy is vastly overrated, he is not very agile at all, has trouble handling the puck, is probably he worse goalie in shootouts I have ever seen, and is a very one-dimensional goaltender. All he does he square up to the shooter and try to cover as much of the net as possible. Just an average goaltender if you ask me.

If undersized defenseman aren't that hard to come by, than who is going to be willing to give up a 2nd line forward for one? We're going to have to trade talent to get talent. I'm not saying that we won't get anything for Pyett or Meech, but they're going to have to be packaged with some other talent. I just hope Holland & Co. don't throw in draft picks in any of the deals in the future...we need as many draft picks as we can get.

The way I read it was that if Tavares was to be drafted by another NHL team in 2008, then the Leaf's would be in a position to trade his right to that team which drafted him, therefore they would get an insane package for the kid. Feel free to correct me if I'm not understanding it correctly.

Unless we are reading different articles, I don't understand what some of you are so worried about. The mention of Holland in that article is nothing more than that writer's opinion as to who should be the Leafs new GM. No where does he mention anything about the Leafs looking at Holland as their new GM. Stop looking for story lines that aren't there.

Zetterberg had 5 points in the 2 games him and Datsyuk were plit up. He was doing fine. They still spend a lot of time together on the PP.

I still think Pittsburgh is going to go after Bryzgalov and Gerber will go to LA. Anaheim is not going to trade Bryzgalov to a division rival and there is no chance in hell that Bryan Murray is stupid enough to solve Pittsburgh's one issue. As far as Aebischer is concerned, I have a feeling he is going to be going back to Europe.

We talk about this every year. I never understand why opposing players always say the JLA is one of the hardest buildings to play in. Its a f***in' library in there. The atmosphere is almost like a twilight zone. Everytime you go to a game at the Joe, you get the same boring/lame intro, the same organ music, the same songs heard in the same exact order as the last game you were at, the same boring ass intermission entertainment (except the shootout between the little kids, I actually love watching those!), the same hour long line for the same gross/disgusting/piss-infested trough, the same lame Mo Cheese dancing (can this guy just stop already with the stupid dance???), and on top of all that, you're pretty much looked at as an obnoxious lunatic if you show any sort of emotion or enthusiasm throughout the game (minus of course when a goal is scored, or a fight or big hit occurs). I hardly ever hear a "Lets Go Red Wing's" chant that lasts more than half a dozen times. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!! Sadly, I do not think any of this will change until we get a new arena.

No reason to hurry Franzen back. This is the end of October, not March. The last they need is to rush back Franzen. If he needs an extra week, go ahead. Its not worth the risk. The knee is a body part that you cannot rush. One tweak and you could be done. When Franzen is ready to go he is going to need to jump right in. We need to split up Datsyuk and Zetterberg in order to get some balance scoring, and the Franzen/Datsyuk/Holmstrom line is going to need a couple games to find their chemistry again, as well as Hudler/Zetterberg/Samuelsson

How can we have a thread about Vancouver without a mention of the greatest YouTube video of all-time??? As for my prediction, the Wings better show up for a COMPLETE 60-minute game! That is a MUST! Vancouver, no matter how bad they are playing at the time, always plays us very tough. I think they took 3 of four from us last season and have won 7 of the last 11 meetings. Be prepared for a battle tonight boys! This is going to be on TSN all across Canada and if you think Vancouver is going to let themselves be embarrassed on Nat'l TV, think again. Vancouver does not have the depth on defense or up front to compete with teams that forecheck and play a puck-posession style of play for 60 minutes. If Babcock rolls four lines tonight and the Wing's keep their feet moving, the Canucks will take penalties, something that will not go over too well considering the Canucks PK is not exactly groovin' right now. Best way to beat Luongo??? Get traffic to the front of the net. All of our guys need to be getting to the top of the crease. Red Wings: 4 (Samuelsson, Holmstrom, Datsyuk, Rafalski) Canucks: 3 (H. Sedin, Kesler, Corwan)

I don't think so. Hudler doesn't play on the PK and the PP has been predominantly DZH-LR to try and get the Wings back in the game...If anyone should be in the doghouse its Filppula or Lilja.

FSN Detroit must've given up trying to find the penalties as well...
