Great Read! I am very exciting to see the development of our players. I'm interested as to why Howard wasn't mentioned in that article though. Pelletier's was said to have outperformed 3 other goalies in that camp. Could he really have outperformed Howard or was Howard just not even trying hard since he knows he is going to be the starter in the AHL no matter what happens? What will happen with Meech? Is he good enough for another team to take a chance on him if we decide to send him down? Quincey seems to be the one who the team is counting on for that 7th D-man spot at this point. I keep hearing management and coaches saying he is NHL-ready but I don't hear much about Meech. A lot can be said about Quincey being brought up for those playoffs series instead of Meech though. I'm interested to hear what kind of "good-shape" Ryno was in. I really want him to come ready to play for us at a solid 6'5 and at least 220lbs. Same goes for Kindl. Still really disappointed about Girgorenko's situation. it just doesn't sound right. If he was so sure he was coming over to America this summer, wouldn't you think he would've had all that stuff taken care of with his visa and everything regarding immigration? Conspiracy from his former team is what me thinks!!!

I'd take Cammalleri, depending on what he is awarded of course. Some people will be ignorant and just say that he is too small and won't help us with our toughness, which is true, but we didn't lose in the playoffs because of a lack of toughness or grit or size. It was injuries on our blueline and the lack of a sniper on the PP that killed us. Thought I would dig up some proof to support my argument that his size would not be a problem...Cammalleri had 15 points in 16 games against ANA and SJS total last year. Apparently he found a way to overcome the size difference. The size factor can't be used as an argument against him people...

Last time I checked Eklund just claims to post RUMOURS. I do not understand why people rip this guy apart so much. He is just doing exactly what he says he is. I'm sure he has some sources, in fact I know he does. Whatever information he gets from those people is what he posts. He never claims to know exactly what players are thinking or where they are gonna go. He just claims that he has information connecting Player A to Team A. Why do so many people bash the guy when he is doing just what he is told? If you hate the guy so much, why do you pay so much attention to his blogs? Just don't read them.

That would be awsome if Drake was able to mentor Kopecky! Tomas is bigger than Drake and will evetually be heavier. Imagine Drake at 6'3 and 210 lbs? Wow, talk about Pain Train. I agree that we are fine at forward, but we are not good enough to be contenders. A top six sniper or natural goal scorer would help us immensely.

At 5'10" and 210lbs, I'm sure his physique is not an issue. His skating I think is what they are going to be keeping an eye on and hoping they can help him progress that last 10% to get to where he was before the accident. The new NHL, as we all know, is based much more on skating ability and speed. Grigs was a really good skater before the accident and has done a tremendous job getting back to where he was but he is still not to where he was in terms of skating. Lilja's contract is up after this season so my feeling is that if he is rotated in and out again this season like he was last, he will probably not want to re-sign this offseason. With Holland being smart enough to realize that, I would think he would just move Lilja at the deadline to another team who wants him as a depth d-man to carry into the playoffs, a la Cory Cross or Jamie Rivers. All we would get for him is probably a mid to late round draft pick, though.

STOP USING"ADDITION BY SUBTRACTION" PEOPLE! If there were some way we could outlaw these 3 words from being used on this site, that would be awesome! Everytime I see them it drives me nuts! I am so tired of people using that phrase. Its just a clever generalization meant to spin a loss into gain without any reasoning. Until next season starts, no one knows whether we gained anything by letting those players go, especially since we haven't replaced any of them... Rant over...

Two different players, two different roles. Drake was not brought in to replace Lang. Filppula on the other hand is being looked at to fill the 2nd line center position. The real question should be Filppula vs. Lang...who is better? I'm pretty sure we know the answer there...
