I think the biggest difference between them in Babcock's mind was maturity level. Filppula seems to play wise beyond his years. Seems to put himself in better situations and plays better overall game. Babs notices that and so he puts him into the game when it counts. Babcock has said time and time again that Hudler would have to earn his ice time. I'm just beginning to wonder what Hudler has done to not earn it.

I don't understand the knowledge in that. The Wild have a better attendance than the Stars do and are going to be a better team. Minnesota had no emotional ties the the North Stars since they never won anything and have already switched their allegiance to the Wild. What good would switching the Stars with the Wild do for the league?

Anyone even here anything about Holland talking to Lang or his agent? I have heard/read about Holland talking to everyone else but can't remember hearing/reading anything about him and Lang. Same goes for Calder.

I heard this on WXYT today and it almost made me sick. The Red Wings had to travel into a different time zone over 50 times this year. Buffalo had to a do it 4 times the whole year, and their first time wasn't until January. We did it as many times on one West Coast road trip as they did their whole season. In the playoffs, Buffalo hasnt even left their own ******* state yet. They have played NYI and NYR. Here's my favorite. Ottawa happens to be closer to Buffalo than both Manhattan or Long Island. The closest game for the Red Wings was in Calgary, a 31 hour drive. Anyone else think this is just wayyybeyond unfair? We just get completely raped when it comes to the schedule and travel. The Illitch's should be compensated somehow by the league since they travel the most of any team. If we face Buffalo in the Finals, I could definitely see this coming into effect. Sadly, I think because we will be just completely worn down, the series would automatically be shifted into Buffalo's favor. f*** the Western Conference. I would be just completely irate if I was Mike Illitch. Unfortunately, he can't really do anything about it.

That is a HUGE blow...Especially if we make it through this round and have to take on the Ducks. Niedermayer-Pronger is a lot stronger than Lidstrom-Markov. Does this mean that Meech is in or does Ericsson get the call? I would think Meech since he has been up in the big leagues more than Ericsson. GET BETTER LEBDA!!!

I do not understand what is with Lebda. Is it from the concussion or ankle? It cant be the ankle because he was playing through that and he didnt miss any time until the concussion. Why oh why wasnt Langkow suspended???

Hello guys! Isn't this just the most wonderful time of the year? Nothing like night after night of entertaining hockey. So far I am 2-2 tonight when it comes to the teams that I wanted to win. I really do not care who wins the NSH/SJ game, as long as this series goes 6 or 7 games and is a brutally physical series. Anywho...LETS HOPE FOR SOME LONGER OVERTIME THAN LAST NIGHT!!!

Totally disagree with Hull on that. Eaves could've wrapped it around and scored another goal or centered it right into the slot for another Senator to put it away. I would question players determination and effort if they lived by that rule. A more important rule that should be followed is this... KEEP YOUR F'N HEAD UP!!!
