Well guys I have the mountain dew cooling in the fridge right now and a few monsters as well if Dallas and Vancouver decide OT is a necessity. Nothing more exciting than OT Hockey!!! Bring it on.

It would only be appropriate for Bertuzzi to have to beat his former team in order to win a Stanley Cup!!

I think the Wings would have a tough time playing Vancouver. Pretty much because of Luongo. Although Bertuzzi would definitely turn into a beast it that did happen...Can't face them until the conference finals I believe though. I don't see the Canucks making it that far.

Bad sign if Sydor is not able to finish tonight's game or misses any other games in this series for Dallas. He is a major part of their team. Hate to see how much more playing time this means for Zubov...

Hello fellow Late Night Hockey Viewers. This has honestly been one of the funnest days for me in a longgg time. No work. No School. And I get to watch hockey ALL DAY AND NIGHT!!! As for the games, glad Wings won (Obviously) wish the Pens could've pulled out the win, wish Minnesota could solve Anaheim's jdefense, and hope that Dallas and Vancouver go into the wee hours of the night. Don't really care who wins the DAL/VAN series just hope that is a long series and they wear each other out. If I have to choose, I pick Dallas since I would rather face Turco in the playoffs than Luongo. By the way, how are us non-members pledged into this fine Crew? PS - SopCast is the greatest thing ever invented!!! Now I can watch every game!!!

Why do people always ***** about the games when they are on VS or NBC? I really saw no difference between todays game on NBC and the game Thursday on FSN, besides the behind the net angle on the PP, which I thought was really cool because you could really see the PP develop and watch them cycle. We won. Isn't that all that matters? Stop Bitching.

I do not know what else we can do with the PP. We have been hoping all eyar that it would turn around and it hasnt. it's not like we have the wrong guys out there. We have our top scorers on the ice so what is the problem?

Yea. I was pretty shocked with how much the NBC guys kept complimenting our PP. We are like 2 for 15 or something like that in these first 2 games and have had atleast three 5 on 3 advantages so far. We're no better than we were in the regular season still except on the PK.

So true, they should not be broken up once Bertuzzi is back. On the other hand... Samuelsson.....2 Games 0 Goals 0 Assists 0 Points +/- Even Gee, wonder who should sit once Bertuzzi is back...

**Bertuzzi Out For Game 2** ...According to Ansar Kahn's Blog over at MLive.com I Guess Hudler will get to stay in the line-up for one more game atleast Though I would love to see Bertuzzi in the line-up as well with Samuelsson riding the pine... My feeling is if we lost game 1 and were down 1-0 in this series, Bertuzzi would be in the line-up tomorrow. Hopefully they are just being extra cautious with him now that we won the first game and feel confident we can win game 2 while giving him some extra rest.

I think you're talking about Mike Emerick. He did their game today. I enjoy him. He gets really intense and really into the game even if it is a little bit of an overreaction. He stays entertaining. Hopefully Eddie Olcyk doesn't call the game with him though. I cant stand him. His comments are so boring and obvious. I want Pierre McGuire. Some people around these boards don't like Pierre but I think he is pretty good. As for the game, I cant wait. Calgary is definitely going to bring it I think. No way they let themselves get embarrassed twice. The Red Wings better keep their heads up and be ready from the get-go. The Flames are going to be out for blood from the beginning and are going to want to set the pace early on. Watch for them to come out physical and trying to take charge of the play. I hope with as much veteran leadership on the Wings as we have hopefully they will know this and not let the Flames push them around. Red Wings 4-3 in 2OT. Holmstrom gets the game winner off a powerplay and the shot comes from Schneider at the point.

Well on the bright side this gives Hudler another game to show why he does a hell of a lot more for this team than Samuelsson... GO REX!!!

Speaking of bias' how about Versus' Hockey Central. Do these guys even realize that there is a Western Conference??? Everytime I watch all they talk about is the East, even though the West is vastly superior. Last night they didn't even mention anything about the Wings/Flame game besides the score for 3 seconds then went back into talking about the Buffalo/NY game for another 20 minutes...Really pisses me off.

This is different. Last year, Datsyuk never even got a practice or skate in before Game 2. Zetterberg has been doing that for a couple weeks now. It's just a matter of getting some consistency of how his back feels from day to day. One day it feels good, the next not so good. that's the problem right now.

I would get there as early as possible...Getting there at the end means being in the back of the line when Gordie walks out the door.

I was over on HF Boards and you would not believe the whining that Preds fans are doing because of us playing tight defensively last night! I do not remember us playing a trap. We constantly had 2 guys on the forecheck. They need to stop looking for excuses.

I hope Holland & Co. realize what a step back they will be taking if Datsyuk is let go through FA in the off-season. The most I would pay him is $5.5M and make it long-term. Yes, he is a very important part of this team, but you have to remember that whatever he gets for his next contract is going to be the stipulation of what Zetterberg will recieve with his. I really like seeing Datsyuk playing with Bertuzzi. I just know that once Bertuzzi gets one lucky bounce he is going to start getting hot. I remember the Versus guys comparing Datsyuk to the new version of Morrison for Bertuzzi (which pissed me off a bit ) Datsyuk is 10 times the player Morrison is and I hope that Bertuzzi and Pav creat some great chemistry going into the post season. our success is going to be based upon how well Pavel steps up this year. Zetterberg alone cannot win a series, as we saw last year.
