Didn't find it necessary to start a new thread about this so I just found the most relevant topic already posted... The Blackhawks visiting the White house got me thinking about a funny story I remember about when the Wings visited the White House in the past. So I'm asking if anyone has audio/video of Pres. Clinton botching the s*** out of the pronunciation of Yzerman's name when they visited the White House?

Hudler Haters - Don't let facts get in the way...

He's been playing better, just needs to score more. Assists are good, but he's a goalscorer. Huds is thought of as the sniper on the line of him, Cleary, and Datsyuk. Kinda surprising that Datsyuk has been the one putting the puck in the net. -
Anyone know what happened to Bucci's contributions to ESPN? Is he still working there. I never watch SportsCenter so I'm not sure if he anchors anymore, but I used to enjoy reading his weekly columns and the segments he would do on ESPN during the playoffs. All I could find was a quote from Wikipedia, God knows how useful(less) that is..."Since November 30, 2010, however, no new columns have appeared on the website and no explanation has been given by either Buccigross or the network as to why the columns have stopped." Anyone know what's up?

What team was Drapes talking about regarding the team getting "Booed" off the ice after a slow start?

They may not be as extreme of an example when it comes to a defensive liability, but this team reminds me of Washington circa 2008-09. I do not see them as a serious contender come playoff time, at least this year. But alas, stranger things have happened, or else I'd be a rich, rich man living off of Vegas...

Tomas Kopecky, meet Rob Brown. The winger who, in one season, scored over 25% of his 13-year NHL career points playing alongside Super Mario. Eva, we assume for someone who does so much research in backing up his arguments, you would be able to figure out the reasoning behind Kopecky's point totals this year on your own. Don't make us lose faith in you now...

I don't understand where you get "spoiled children" from but it's probably because you're over 30 and we can't trust you.

There really is no explanation for the Allstar reference. Just portraying him to think he's almighty and the best. Its not supposed to be some inside joke or anything. Gotta show my favorite one Allstar Heatley vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwt3BmO1BvU&playnext=1&list=PL47B9A22447B48BDD&index=6 BY far my favorite one of him haha.

I remember another certain big, young defenseman who was hated on by fans ruthlessly when he first came into the league...Jiri Fischer. Let's not forget he was not the physical, occasional drop the gloves, crease clearer he was before his career was tragically cut short. He had as many brainfarts, if not more, than E has had in his whopping 1 season with us. Defenseman take longer to adjusts to the big leagues, especially when they were drafted as a forward. Cut him some slack. -
Haha, I was wondering when someone would finally post this topic. Thought about starting it myself just to keep the tradition going!

I expect to see Holmstrom and Hudler to be PP specialists next year. Without the injuries to Cleary this year I believe we would've seen that this year for Homer. Bertuzzi is a difficult one. I wouldn't mind seeing him back. He isn't the physical force he was brought in to be by any means but he did provide nice depth scoring at times throughout the year when we needed it. Him, Flip and Z seem to be finding some nice chemistry the last month or so as well. Franzen - Datsyuk - Cleary Filppula - Zetterberg - Bertuzzi Eaves - Helm - Miller Hudler - Abdelkader - Holmstrom

Not necessarily old news. This is the first I've heard from a credible source that he is for sure coming back. Although, I won't believe it until I hear it from Kenny.

Definitely one of my favorite Sunny Episodes haha. These guys were behind Scott Oake the other night when he was trying to report for the pregame show. It was hilarious. Keep it up.

I have to do a presentation for my Sports Economics class next week and my topic is "Rise in NHL Salaries Since the Lockout of 2004-05." Anyone know of a site that has the salary charts from the pre-lockout period and 2005-06 to 2008-09? Also, any points that you feel I should bring up are welcomed/appreciated!
