Huge saves? They scored three goals last night, 2 of which were 5 0n three they had a 5 on three goal last game, and he was hung out to dry on another goal. Id say hes playing well enough to win, its the other 5 guys in front of him that are playing like s***.

Why not put Lebda out there? He can skate with the puck, and plays the point pretty darn well if you ask me. This is not rocket science.

We make the other teams goalies look great. Wrist shots from the point getting shots blocked all over the ice. We dont score the gritty playoff type goals. We always shoot from the point, more often than not they are blocked. Pretty simple really. Ever notice how many blocked shots the opposing teams have on us in the last buch of playoffs? Is it because they are all great shot blocking teams? No, we make it easy for them to block shots. Simple really.

I love the "its the players on the ice the coach has nothing to do with it" type response. The coach in hockey is probably as important as any of the players. Look at the 80 USA team. The coach needs to do damage control on the PP and PK, keeping Sammy at the point makes him look stupid. Sammy has no idea how to play the point and really has a s***ty shot from the point. Babcock has a real problem with making good adjustments, not a sign of a good coach Babcock may be a good guy etc but the fact remains, he really has no idea how to make adjustments. If he continues to put the wrong players on the ice we will be watching our team bow out early again. Thats a fact.

We dont score playoff style goals, I said that last night. The NHL playoffs have become a contest of who can goon it up the most and get caught the least. Its been this way for the lase 80s till now. It wont ever change.

Its not so much we run into a hot goalie, as we dont score playoff type goals. Everything we score comes off a pass or set up play. Playoff scoring is about tussles in front of the net and picking up garbage. When you shoot 100 wristers a game from the point in the playoffs you dont score much.

Im not being overly negative. You have a selctive memory on Mr Langs turnovers that cost us last year, one of which led to a breakaway goal late in a tied game last year that was the game winning goal. Im not sure I have said anything negative about this team all night. Ive pointed out that the special teams suck and it looks as though babcock is in denial about the skill level of certain players.

What did Babcock have to say about this loss?

You think Bert has been a huge factor thus far? I sure dont. Lang the last two seasons was the benefactor of being on a great passing line. Thats how he scored goals. Lets not forget the giveaways that cost us two games last year or the piss poor defensinve play this year and the year before. Lang is the turnover king.

Flames fans, just thank you lucky stars you have had a mess of 5 on 3s the last two games. Other than those you havent look good at all. Just thank the maker and smile.

Bert did none of that tongiht. As for Lang, its hard to score points when your lazy ass is in the box after taking a bad penalty. As for him being good in the palyoffs as a Wing. Everyone here seems to think thats the case. From what I remember over the last few years, Lang was the least sucky of the wings in the playoffs. To say he was good is a stretch Cmon Lang fans, tell us how he is so great in the playoffs. Lol.

Id rather see Brett out there. At least he has some speed and can play D. Sammy on the powerplay is a complete joke. This guy doesnt even deserve a spot on the ice at this point.

And maybe its 2-2 now because our special teams suck ass. Im just sayin...

Watching the game tonight I have no clue what this guy sees in Sammy or Lang. Is there a reason we always seem to lose matchups and players play in positions they have no business playing? Sammy on the point? Wha? Lang still on the ice? Bert on the PP? I really think this guy has no idea. Sammy is not good defensively and couldnt hit the net from the point to save his life. Im so confused at this point. And the bad penalties, cmon.

Im not giving up hope yet. However this series is now officially up for grabs. Again we blow a chance to put a team away early and lose the chokehold on the series. Im am afraid however, that we will mail it in the rest of the way.

We need to stop the power play antics and put the damn puck in the net. Then we have a shot in the series. Our special teams have been piss poor so far.

I say leave him in. But he should be nowhere near the PP.

How long have you been around hockey? You should know by now that Canadians have selective memory when is relates to hockey and world relevancy.

This game could have and should have been tilted in our favor in the first period. 4 minutes of pp time and nothing to show for it. I shudder to think what happens if we dont pick up our special teams in this series. I have seen this before, the flames now feel they have a shot and will come out next game even more fired up. If we cant put a goal in from stupid penalties taken by the flames early, Im afraid its golf early again for this team. On that note, Lang should be the ballwasher, if he can even be bothered to get out of the golfcart.

I prefer Nashville, Less travel for our guys. Traveling out West is never been good to us.

Since Babs likes big bodies he may want to take a trip down to the local morgue and replace lang and sammy with corpses. Couldnt hurt.

1010 thats the point. Champions win in the face of adverstiy. Not crumble in the face of opportunity. That is why this team has so much to prove.

?? Doom and gloom? No thats reality. They are expected to play their best hockey in the playoffs, no? If they could have easily won it, after taking a 2-1 lead they would have. Im not going to back off from the facts. You have to win special teams battles in the playoffs. And yes I also think Robert Lang would be too lazy to walk from the cart to the tee box, although that is just speculation on my part.
