Ill admit, I didnt think we stood a chance this series. The Sharks usually played with more will than we did. I still think we need to pick it up in the PP catagory, but our PK won this series for us. If we pick up the PP next series we may just make it.

I like how Bertuzzi looks like a 2 hour old baby wildabeast on his skates. If you skate by him there is a chance the wind will knock him down. Actually its pretty pathetic. He looks awful

I disagree, he has looked good on the power play, but no as good on the PK. He gets pushed around alot now Also he has been having a hard time clearing the zone and passing the puck out of the D zone. Defensively he is not as solid right now as Lilja. As sick as it makes me to say anything good about Lilja I think he has been our best D man. We have given up way to many goals this year. Including two in every game this series. Still a good D man, I think he is hurt. He doesnt skate like usual even. He just doesnt look like the Nick we usually see.

Check the stats again Lids its +1 same as Dats and Zetts is a +5. This series they have had to play with Calder, Bertuzzi and other fill ins on the top line. They play much better with Holmstrom.

Let me also point out Lids has a plus minus of 1.

This team wont win the cup because they dont like to show up for entire games. They dont have the talent they used to, and they need to work harder. Something some of these guys are not used to and it showed, up until the end of the 3rd last night. It has nothing to do with how many goals one guys can score. You guys want him to have a hat trick every game? What is he expected to do? He has the same amount of points as your god Lidstrom. Once again, I have not been a fan of Dats, I thought he could have been better last year in the playoffs and at times when things got physical he disappeared. Not this year though, he is playing great D, is tough as nails, skates well with the puck, controls the boards and sets up plays. Pretty good I think, BTW he still makes less than Lidstrom.

I dont get the Lidstrom love affair again in the playoffs this year. He looked bad in the playoffs last year too. He play has been so un-Lidstrom like some people are thinking he may be injured. He has coughed the puck up, been passing badly, and getting beat on his poke checks. I mean I love the guy, but he has not been his usual solid spectacular self. I really think Lilja has been the best D man weve had, Cheli second and Markov 3rd. Not that he has been better than Lids but Quincy has done a bang up job too, seeing before the playoffs he had a whoping 4 NHL games under his belt.

You want to blame Datz and Zett for not scoring but Maltby and Draper get a pass? Datts and Zetts have been just as good or better defensivly and on the PK. Im happy Lidstrom has two goals, but has not played that great on D at all again this year. Lilja has been our best D man, Cheli has been solid as well. You guys always overlook the poor play of old time wings on this board. Maltby should not have been resigned, Draper couldnt score in an empty net and Lidstrom has lost a few steps and besides his amazing poke check and shooting ability gets woked over alot now a days. I love these guys too, but you have to face the facts, they are not what they used to be. Who has played better in the playoffs so far? Datz, Zetta, Cleary, Holmstom and Franzen or Lidstrom, Schneider, Draper and Maltby.

Dats had two goals last series against Calgary. Included a clutch goal in the last game. What do you want from these guys? They spend half their time on the ice on the PK. If we want to ***** at players to step it up look no further that Lidstrom, Schneider, Maltby, Draper and Bertuzzi. Calder gets a pass because he is hurt. Dats is a monster in the boards and draws two guys all game. he and zetts are the only guys who can skate and pass apparently. The other guys need to pick up their play and help the hard working guys out a little.

They play some good teams 8 times a year. While we play some turds 8 times a year. I think that works to our disadvantage that we have to play Chicago, St Louis, C-Bus for 24 games. Like playing minor league teams.
