I watched this team thorough the 80s Those teams didnt pack it in like our team has the last 2-3 years in the playoffs like these guys have. Effort for the first 10 minutes today, was piss poor. We looked awful. That is a fact. Just because we pulled this game out of the fire, we still have 3 more to win. If we dont come to play in the first 10, we will constantly have to come back from behind to win. Thats not how you win in the playoffs. Period. Dont compare the over achieving teams from the late 80s to the teams we have had on the ice the last few years. In the late 80s we played with heart and drive and alot of times out of our asses.

Funny I was one of the few that thought signing Dats early was a great move. So we can focus on other things this summer. But I never say anything constructive or positive so...........

After that fight with Moen, Lilja seems to have grown a pair! I am seriously impressed with this guys so far this playoff. He really seems to excel in a physical game, who would have thunk from what we have seen the last two years.

I post lots of positive things. With the way the Wings started the game they were is serious trouble. I stated the obvious, if they kept playing like a beer league team they would have lost. These guys need to play like they mean it all game. And I stand by this comment, Hasek is an ass clown.

If you want to beat the trap, you have to score on the PP. The trap will cause interference penalties. The problem is we cant score on the PP to save our lives. If we dont figure it out nowish we may not win a game this series.

Every year we see the playoffs roll around and the rules seem to change. Tonight In the OT is a perfect example. I hate to see officiating ruin games. I was watching hockey with someone who is new to the game and had to try and answer question of why certain things werent called and why much lesser things were being called. If I hadnt been watching the NHL for the last 20+ years I would be frustrated as hell as a newcomer to the sport. It just doesnt make any sense anymore. Is there anything we can do as fans? OR will we all be victims of horrible officiating forever. Watching alot of college hockey the refs seem to be MUCH better and FAR more consistent in their calls.

See what I mean? I thought the officiating in that game was atrocious. 5 on 3 for the nucks at a critical time. Holding like a mofo, lol Well I guess playing the last Canadian team in the west is now the Ducks issue.

People beefing about the officiating in the NHL is ok. I think we need to be louder so maybe someone who counts will hear it, I know its nieve to think that, but dang it has been worse with two guys on the ice than with one. Just really frustrating. Watch the game tonight and take notes.

If they dont get the PP going its gonna be tough to move on from this round. We were fortunate we had a huge talent edge over Calgary. Anyone who thinks the Wings can move on and not score on 4 min power plays is in for a rude awakening.

Im not just talking about this series. The calls around the league are not consistent at all. Ive watched alot of games so far this year and the calls have been awful. Worse yet, Campbell the limp d*** that he is has done nothing to protect the players of the league. Besides yesterdays fiasco, there were horribly negligent hits in the Pitt series as well as many in the Nashville ***** Cats series. Its getting crazy and the league is sitting by and watching it all.

You could actually see he was bleeding high on his forehead as his helmet came off. Thats why I assumed it was for stitches, the cut looked pretty big on TV.

From what I saw it looks like he had to get a bunch of stitches. Looked like he had a nice cut.
