To be honest, I wouldn't care which day it was on.

Can someone please explain a trade to me between Detroit and Minny that Minny would find beneficial that includes Burns? I'm just having trouble seeing one.

God damnit, got me there I remember how much I loved Leino when he was overseas and when he scored his first goal as a Red Wing and then he sucked to start the next year and traded him for nothing and now he is realizing his potential

Sorry, wasn't referring to your post

Has Philly made a good trade since before Lindros?

Why is that off base? How do you know which teams he does and does not want to play with? Everyone has different reasoning for wanting to go to different markets. Ryan Smyth wants to go back to Edmonton, no one else in the league does. Jagr wants to go to Pittsburgh or Detroit. Brooks Laich wants to stay in Washington. Mike Fisher's top choice was Nashville. Rick Nash wants to stay in Columbus for his entire career. All of these teams are very different in terms of hockey markets and where they're at in the standings. Actually, I'm really ******* confused how what I said is single minded because I was actually suggesting the opposite that maybe we should consider other reasons why people choose or do not choose to go to different teams. Not just "Oh Detroit, ya they're good, I should sign there" type attitude. Also,I don't understand your analogy with Carter at all, it seems to further prove my point.

My ideal situation with this cap is to make a play at Bieksa, we have lots of space I think it would be ok to overpay him a bit.

Why do people always think this way? I mean sure Detroit is probably the most popular destination in the league but everyone has this mentality that everyone would jump at the opportunity to come to Detroit. People get No trade clauses for a reason, so no I don't think he would waive it for Detroit, otherwise why would he negotiate one in the first place? Why do you think Calgary traded for him 2 days before he became a FA?

What's wrong with their current jerseys

No. The person below me has had a fairly serious fight with their significant other/spouse in the last 24 hours

If Minnesota trades Burns they might as well look for a new GM

All day breakfast for sure Raisin Bran or Lucky Charms?

I would love Bouwmeester unfortunately he has a NTC

Ya, but what do we get for someone like Hudler at the cap hit we have him at? I mean he's a 2-3 line player and it seems like we want him to be a 1st line player. Now I can see why people are upset with Hudler as he is not filling his potential but I think some people are putting way too high of expectations on him, sure he is a skilled player but he's definitely no superstar and is still relatively young so we can still evaluate him and if he continues to underperform than we have options to replace him.

How long does everyone think it takes Holland to sign a defenceman? July 1?
-
I hate how people jump on hate/love bandwagons on this site. A guy has 1 "bad" year and everyone wants him shipped out. Hudler is a good player that has skill and is young and has an "ok" contract. Do I expect more from him? Absolutely, but that doesn't mean I want to ship out every player who has struggled in Detroit. If we did things that way, we would've gotten rid of Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Kronwall, Osgood, Howard, Franzen and never signed guys like Bertuzzi and Cleary. People have "off" years and sometimes there's other things that the fans don't know that affect players. Remember a guy named Teemu Selanne before the lockout? If not, you should go research his stats and then you may understand that often times there are underlying issues (I'm not saying that Hudler has injuries, but there could be other issues at play).

I actually thought Salei was effective but I had super low expectations before he came here and disliked him so maybe he wasn't as good as I thought he was this past season

No, No, NO! Jagr interested in Detroit.

Sigh, I could've told you that he would be a decent addition and I have at least equal or a better mind than Lidstrom. I will forgive you though since you've probably never seen me play/coach/manage a team before Ya, I mean it's not like this is going to be a huge deal either way. I mean signing him can be a pretty positive impact on the team if he can play even to what half of his potential is. On the flip side, if he sucks and is lazy, he is certainly replaceable with the guys that we have on our current roster. I don't signing Jagr is going to do a lot of damage in terms of releasing/trading/signing someone else. I just don't like people who are sheep and damnit where is my tropical drink? This island sucks. -
