Technically, the right call was made. If the ref loses sight of the puck he is supposed to blow the whistle. Having said that, this rule needs some serious investigation. Obviously, that goal should've been good and really is a lot less controversial than goals that would overturned from a high stick or a kick. IMO goals off skates should not be allowed and goals like this should be allowed. Seem less controversial to anyone else?

I don't think I have ever blamed the refs but I witnessed two very horrible calls tonight. The hit by Stuart that lead to Anaheim's second goal and the quick whistle. Having said that we didn't show up for the first 35 minutes of that game. We NEED game 4 because we are not coming back from 3-1 -

It was definitely the puck that hit Wisnieski. An elbow can't do that damage, I had a really good view of it and it was Datsyuk's shot that did the damage. Remind anyone of the Pronger incident? Wasn't that also against Detroit? -
