You can't fault Orr for being injured. The guy was simply amazing and did things that even Lidstrom can't hold a candle to. The guy won the scoring title as a Dman. He also had a season where he was over +100, those are mind-boggling stats. As great as Lidstrom is you can't say that Orr only gets recognition because he played a long time ago, that's just ridiculous.

Osgood has been solid but I would like him to have better rebound control. That is the one area of his game that bothered me in game 1.

I think it's his amount of games that he's been able to play and of course being the first person to do something in a league that is nearly 100 years old is one hell of an accomplishment so I would say first European captain winning the cup, also the first European captain to win 2 straight cups

The biggest problem I have with all this is the double standard the league continues to show with similar offenses. How does one player get suspended for 5 games and the other 0 for pretty much the same hit???? It's ******* ridiculous.

Also, I would say Varlamov >>>>>> Kiprusoff because of circumstance That save could be the TSN turning point of the series. Similar to Nabakov's game 7 OT save against Dallas. P.S. I know this game wasn't on TSN.

I'm not so sure, every broadcast has their local twist on it. If you watch FS Red Wings, they will talk more about guys like Thomas or Miller coming from Michigan. They are targetting their audience and trying to appeal to their viewing pleasure. It's no surprise that every Hockey Night in Canada has a Leafs game and most of the pre-game stuff is Toronto focused.

I understand what you're saying, but if the play is whistled dead and someone cross-checks another person in the head, are you saying that there's no cross-checking penalty? Obviously, as a Wings fan I am happy there was no penalty, however, as a goalie that is a clear penalty (call it roughing if there's no interference on a dead play)

Sorry but it was beautiful to watch Meh, whatever CBC is just upset that the Red Wings probably have the least amount of Canadians on the championship winning team. I disagree, I find him far more intolerable when watching TSN.
