The funny thing about all this is how I've been telling all my friends how worried I was to play the Ducks. I didn't like the way we matched up against them as they play a "dirty" brand of hockey and I was worried that we would be dragged into their game and would not be able to match their physicality. I thought that the only way to win this series was to not try and get into a battle with them because I don't think we would win the physical battle (Very much like the last time we played them). I thought we would have to continue to play our puck possesion game and kill them with our PP. How surprised was I when we outhit them all through game 1 and GOT INTO A FIGHT!!! Something I thought I would never see out of this Red Wings team. I must say that guys like Datsyuk, Franzen and others have really picked up their physical games over the last couple years and definitely not be the shadows that they were when they were receiving the criticism for in past years.
