OK, I agree that there is definitely a lot of Crosby hate around here so let's take him out of the picture.... Lidstrom and Datsyuk both miss the all-star game so there is no representation for the defending Cup champions so Bettman (who doesn't give a s*** about the players) only cares about marketing the league (very poorly at that) decides to threaten to suspend them. The whole problem I have with this (along with the Avery suspension) is the logic behind suspensions and the inconsistencies between other situations when there is "conduct detrimental to the league"

I may watch the skills but there is no way that I am watching the ASG

My interpretation of the question is at their prime who would you rather have. Fedorov was faster, had a better shot, dominant player that few people could touch. He was also better than Datsyuk on defense. So ya, if night in and night out Federov was at his prime...... no question Fedorov P.S. Right now, I think the best option for us would be to let Hossa go at season's end and Samuelsson as well. I know that other teams would have some interest in him.

This was part of the reason I became such a die-hard fan. Guys like Yzerman, D-Mac, Osgood, etc. seemed like they would be such awesome guys off the ice.

I'm not his biggest fan as a goaltender, but off the ice he seems like one of the best guys in the league

Wow, I'm a goalie too and I don't do anything close to that, aside from the post thing but mine goes right pad, left pad, right post, left post, right post, right post then dart out before the start of the game. You always have to screen the crease.

The problem with this game is that it's NOT the best players in the league. If it was, I would have way more interest in watching it. Although, I will admit that it does suck not having your team represented.
