The one thing that I do have confidence in is that even if Hasek does go down, I still have faith that we can win because we allow around 20 shots against per game. Let's face it, in the late 90s Vernon and Osgood were not premiere goalies but because we had such dominant teams we were able to get by good and timely goaltending

I've recently seen some old game films from the early 80s and the entire crowd and announcers are constantly aware of where Gretzky was on the ice the entire game because they knew that anytime the puck came within five feat of Gretzky something very special was very very likely to happen.

The Wings have been gems at finding diamonds in the rough on draft day, so anywhere between a 3-5 round pick would not disappoint me one bit. -

I think the whole Manny Legace situation is still very fresh in the organization's mind and that it would prevent that possibility from happening again anyways.

IMO if the Wings got themselves in the situation where they had an Osgood/Howard/Liv tandem in goal they would be taking a huge step backwards.

Personally, I really don't see this being a big deal. I mean we see the players saying it all the time and in about 60% of the games when the audio goes to ice level you can hear it anyways. -
I think that we keep Osgood as a backup and get a FA in the offseason for a starter.

I actually agree with that quote. I think that's what being a true fan is. Yes, even though their team sucks, really bad by the way, they are still in love with them. I just hope I could say the same thing about Wings fans if we were ever bad, although we've been top five in the league for a solid decade and a half now. I think it's pretty cute, almost like having a crush on a fat girl because she has a good personality...... always looking at the positives.

Every where I go when I wear my Wings hat I always get the question......... "How the hell can you cheer for a team like that." -
Hudler does have a lot of potential, however, we already have a lot of players that are almost as young and have the same skills that he has, however, their skills are a little better and also have a little bit more size on Hudler. I'd say trade him if all the other players stay put.
