That Filppula takes? I have been noticing more of these as the games go on. In game 4, he was on a near breakaway and was slashed as he shot the puck and no penalty called (possible penalty shot?). After one of the 5 on 3 power plays they had (2nd one?), he was twisted around and fell to the ice. Should have been hooking. I didn't see many games due to the fact that I live in PA, but this kid is looking like he is going to be a star one day.

It's approx. 55 miles between lines of longitude. So Col is about 2 miles further east than Det.

What you are trying to say is that Columbus is 200 miles further east than Detroit? It's about 200 miles from Detroit a little past Cleveland towards the OH/PA stateline.

The longest win streak for the Wings is 9 (on several occasions). They have had longer unbeaten streaks but always have gotten hung up on 9 in a row.

If the Wings were to do some kind of 3rd jersey, I wouldn't mind the black jersey w/ the logo the same red & white.

Isn't this their 3rd change in the last few years? Personally, I liked their "ORCA" jersey the best.
