That game 7 between the Flyers & Bruins was shown at the Wachovia Center? I thought Versus (or was it the NHL) didn't want the game shown at the road team's arena?? Remember when they didn't allow the games in Pittsburgh shown on JoeVision last year??

Pretty odd stat over this long of a stretch!!

If not for the bulls*** 5-3 PPs for SJ, the series could have finished with US as the series winner. In the 3 4-3 finals, they got 3 late 2 man advantages and scored. We were royally screwed by the refs. Our only 5-3 was late in a game decided in the 1st period. The conversion % in the series was basically even, so if we had, say maybe 1 more PP per game, we would still be alive. The Wings SHOULD have had 2 LONG PPs in game 5 (knee to knee and the headshot). If either were to happen to the league's posterboy, there would have been major, game misconducts and suspensions. They were MUCH worse than when Kronner got a game misconduct (and suspension?) last year against Chicago.

Not to jinx them tonight, but there have been quite a few times a team has come back from a 3-1 deficit. I think the Wild did it in back-to-back series a few years ago.

Don't get me wrong, I liked Hud's time here and is glad he is coming back (provided he signs a contract). But, what is the difference between him leaving and Fedorov leaving? They both left for greener pastures and Huds is welcomed back and Feds is villified. Hope he comes back to the form he had last season!!

I saw it was exclusively on Versus but just saw "blackout" on my cable guide. I would rather have it on FSN too!!

There is also a military discount password I had gotten for retired, active duty, reserves and vets (yes, I am a vet). I tried 5 times with 3 different cards and each and every time I was unsuccessful. It says to use another card. I say it is total bulls*** and TicketMaster sucks!! The funny thing about Homer and these calls are that he hardly even interferes with the goalie. A lot of times, he is pushed into him. What the league needs to do is allow the goal AND giving a diving penalty to the goalie who flops to the ice.

In a way you are correct..... But let's sat Team A wins game 1 5-0 and Team B wins games 2, 3, 4 & 5 by 1-0 scores, Team B wins the series but Team A scored more goals.... In the early years on hockey, most goals in the series WERE a deciding factor.

What about Darren Banks? Don't remember him ever being on the Wings but he is on the alumni. He played several years on the Vipers as their enforcer. He is a very big (not fat but a big stocky) black man.

I don't understand why anybody is afraid of the 'Nucks. Weren't they the same team we beat on the way to the last 2 cups? Luongo has done NOTHING in the "real season". He is great in the regular season, but playoffs is another story. I think all of the top 4 teams will be watching because ANY of them can play the Wings depending on what today's result is of the important games. None of the 4 teams want to play the hottest team the last 6 weeks. They have only lost 8 points since the break!

You mean like the Atlantic Division where the longest distance is maybe 5 or 6 hours, BY CAR?? Or the poor Dallas Stars who probably travel the most miles because they are in the Pacific Division and the are probably closer the the Atlantic Ocean than the Pacific Ocean.

They are currently in 5th place as I type this. They have 98 points along with the Preds with 1 game in hand. The don't necessarily have to win out but it would lock it up!

Although VERY UNLIKELY, they can still catch the Blackhawks and gain the #2 seed. They are 6 points out and with the way the Wings are playing, there is that chance.

Back in the day when ESPN showed hockey it seemed that the Pens were on every other week!

I have friends that gave up on them a few months ago and I kept saying that as long as they stay in reach of the playoffs, once everyone is back, they will be fine and will kick ass. So far, I am correct!! If they do overtake them, would it be one of the biggest flops ever?
