I am sure off the ice, most of these guys we love to hate are really cool people off the ice. I was watching a something about Pronger on NHL Network on what he goes thru in a normal day. Pretty interesting off the ice but on the ice, KNOCK HIS BLOCK OFF!!

Thankfully the Wings didn't go thru the stretch like they did last Feb with the injury bug when they won 1 of 12 games or so. Glad Stuart is coming back shortly and hope he is near 100%.

Technically, yes! But they meant to say "point percentage". So in Babs tenure in Hockeytown, he gets just about 5 out of every 7 points available. which is pretty damn good over a nearly 4 year spread.

Why trade for Manny? He is on waivers (the last I saw) and would cost nothing to pick him up.

He did officiate a fairly good game. He did miss a few trips on Dats and the highstick on Helm. All in all, one of his better officiated Wings game I can remember.

I am surprised nobody mentioned the 95-06 Wings squad. True, they did not win the cup but they dominated the entire regular season. They had 2 win streaks of 9 games and probably longer unbeaten (with ties). Set a record for wins, outscored their opponent by 144 goals, set a record for largest divisional win and largest point difference over 2nd overall. Even the 94-95 team was pretty damn good. Prorated over 82 games (48 game lockout shortened season) their record would have been 56-19-8 for 120 points and 308-200 goals scored/allowed. They were about as close to a 4-peat if it wasn't for their inability to score on NJ (in 95) or stopping the Avs (in 96).

s***ty call!! If it was O'halleran in a Wings game and Ozzie tripped someone he might have gotten a 5 minute major and game misconduct. OH!! They couldn't replace the goalie until the penalty was up. This is how players get injured, how could there NOT be a charge on the hit on Lebda? Mickey was like he raced in from 100 feet away.

You don't hear the Wings complain about a 5 or 6 game west coast trip.

Ever since the injury bug hit a few weeks ago, the offense is clicking on all cylinders! Outscoring the opposition 29-15 (including the SO win). Averaging 5 goals a game over 6 is pretty damn good!

It is MUCH cheaper to park at the Greektown Casino and take the people mover to JLA!

Actually the AFL ceased operations for this coing season (and beyond??) and the WNBA plays their games in the summer (am I correct??). Besides the AFL seasons started in late March, so they had to schedule around the Kings. Doesn't the NHL schedule come out before the NBA schedule? If so, then the Kings have no problems then.....LOL

I never was big on Lilja, but we needed size on "D" so we had to keep him (and he isn't overly expensive). This year he looks good and has been the most consistant defenseman this year. Lids and Raffy had some stretches where they looked not themselves. How about Cheli skating back on the breakaway and making an excellent play?

I loved how the NBC annoucers were kissing his ass today. Per Ols***, Maltby took a cheap shot and Crosby retaliated. OK, but why didn't he say the same thing when Sissy crosschecked Sammy, not once, not twice, not thrice BUT 4 TIMES. I saw just a little clip of the postgame with Z getting interviewed and he was asked about Sissy and Malkin and he said they are both pretty good players. If Sissy was asked about Z and Dats, what would he cry about?

How many more times is he going to take an elbow to the head and nothing gets called? One of these days he is going to take an elbow and be out for a long time. Didn't he get injured in the playoffs last year due to an elbow to the head and no penalty was called?
