I agree Mickey would have blwon a gasket, but where was the call for interference the beginning of the game? I think Hossa dumped and chased and he was slowed down and Mickey said something like "what game are we calling here?". Then they have the 3 horses*** calls on the Wings. I agree that bulls*** calls go both ways but seems those crappy ticky-tack interference and hooking calls get called A LOT more on the Wings.

I think he was injured more from his stick being around his face than anything Lilja did. His stick was sandwiched between the glass and his face. He was pretty close to the glass, if he wasn't, when hit, he would have hit the glass A LOT lower than eye level. At worse, it should have been MAYBE a 4 minute minor but definately NOT a 5 minute major and game misconduct. I just love it when someone like Pronger has all these suspensions and known to make dirty hits, especially on Wings players, we have to beg to get him suspended.

Considering the fact that the Blues had more than a 2-1 advantage in PP time, I say as long as we won, WHO CARES how many shots the Wings have!! Remember those playoff games in late 90s and early 00s that the Wings would outshoot teams like 55-27 and LOSE? The bottom line is a W is a W is a W and who cares who won the SOG as it is not part of anything outside of being a team stat.

The 1st one the Wings scored looked like it was in. But, replay showed it was the black part of Franzen's stick. Even Mickey and Dan were freaked out. In game 2 of the finals, if PIT was not getting blown out, that could have created problems. If PIT scored a few goals and won it in OT, there would have been a game 7 and who knows what would happen then. Is it a coincidence his uniform number is 13?

I checked out the Wiki pages for O'f***wad and Buttman. O'f***wad's has 3 or 4 lines and nothing out of the ordinary. Buttman has 1 line that made my day (and it is not even 9am). How many times is this f***WAD going to screw the Wings before Babs, Holland or Illitch complain to the league? I agree the "D" played like s*** in the 1st period but if the goal would have counted the score would have been 4-3 and the game has a whole different strategy. If Homer was called for interference and the goal disallowed, why didn't O'f***wad call Turdco for tripping? What about the defenseman that interferred with him knocking him into Turdco? How many time must Homer get brutalized before they call anything? In the last game, he was tripped, interferred with and KICKED by the goalie and nothing was called. In tonight's game, how many times was Sammy tripped, elbowed or interferred with? In the 2nd period alone the Wings SHOULD have had AT LEAST 3 or 4 more PP chances. wait Dan O'f***wad was the ref. For as bad as they played in the 1st period, they could have won the game if that goal stood. Now, what would happen if the Wings finish 1 point behind the Sharks (or Bruins) for the President's Trophy and home ice throughout? Total Horses*** officiating by O'f***wad!!

Better to hit a slump now, than in April and May.

When he crashed into the boards I was thinking "here comes the immobilizer", Then he skated off and I was very surprised. When they said it was a rib injury, I began to think he will be out about a month. On X-mas Eve, I slipped on ice and fell on my side. I thought I had either cracked my ribs or broke them. I could not move without severe pain for 10 - 14 days. I couldn't sleep on that side or on my back without my legs in a certain position. To this day, 5 weeks later, it is still sore when I wake up or when doing something like shoveling snow. I felt his pain and hope he is healthy for the playoffs.
