At least there is some good news, which may have already been mentioned......ken and mickey said bertuzzi was gonna practice in GR starting tomorrow. If everything goes according to plan he could make his much anticipated debut next thursday.

Hudler played 19:30 tonight and 17:30 last night, which was more than samuelsson and homer. Maybe its a sign that hudler will stay in the lineup when its stocked and loaded, and perhaps samuelsson could be the odd man out.

This is definitely gonna have a positive effect on the teams that lose early. A team like canucks, if they hang on and win the division, they'll probably pick somewhere in the 22-25 range. However, if they lose in the first round they will get a slightly higher draft pick, somewhere around 20.

I'll touch on Kronwall first. He hasn't been as advertised. Instead of being a good all-around d-man, he's looked more like gonchar. He still needs a lot of improvement because at this point even Lebda is better. However, the good thing is that he can still improve this year and erase the need for another d-man. Schneider at his age is more likely to regress in all aspects of his game. Yeah he's an underrated d-man, but he's been hurting the team at times too. Hamrlik is younger, but also bigger and more physical. He can hit, block shots and play sound defense. The only concern for the team at this point is the lack of size on the back end, and hamrlik addresses that need. Same goes for Sarich and Hannan

Quite a bit of change since last summer/fall, now that filppula and hudler have made the wings. The first thing I noticed was that the ratings for some of our prospects have changed. Some of the noticable jumps include Kindl upto 8.0B (from 7.0C previously) and dick axelsson 7.0C (up from 6.0C). After the first 2, I thought the rankings should've been different as some are ranked too high like Abdelkader in the top 5, yet someone like emmerton isn't even ranked in the top 10.

I don't know why people wanna see or think Kindl playing for the wings without playing in the AHL. Even Kronvall played half a season before actually getting a call up. He shouldn't be just handed a spot on the team, he needs to earn it. Quincey or Meech are far more deserving of a spot on this team than kindl because they're more polished. But IMO, there should be like an open competition in the pre-season next year for a spot and let kindl, quincey, ericsson and meech decide who'll get it.

Yeah it was all luck, but I'd liked him to do a better job of getting body position on that goal.
