Agree with pretty much everything you said, although signing Drury is a pipe dream. The moment datsyuk got that extension, all the upcoming FA centers like himself, briere and gomez were ecstatic. Call me crazy but he will get $7mil if he's out on the market come July 1st

Contract extension for Babcock. As far as personnel, there are 2 critical needs: a top-6 scoring winger (re-sign bert, UFA or trade) a top 4 defensive d-man (re-sign Markov, UFA or trade)

Absolutely. An ozzie/howard tandem would rank 7th or 8th among the likes of goalies that make the playoffs.

keep in mind too that the wings can get some guys via the trade market as well.

NO DOM = NO CUP with an ozzie & howard tandem the wings will be lucky to make it this far next year, unless howard pulls a cam ward.

This team needs some size on the blue line(hamrlik, sarich, etc) as well as someone in the top 6 (a healthy bert or UFA). One thing I'm perplexed about....maltby signed an extension, but hardly played at all in this series. -
Yeah if there's one thing, I'd have seen him do differently was to have a 6 on 4 after he called the timeout. We didn't have anything to lose by being aggressive

The wings showed tremendous fight in the latter portion of the 3rd and almost forced OT. Kudos to the boys in red and white on a good season.

According to the law of averages....things have to even out at some point, after the ducks have been getting some fortuitous bounces the last few games, while the wings have not.
