Not a center.
-
And, notice how it alternates between about 7.3 and 5.4.

Because to those who vote, he is about the only NHL player they have ever heard off.

They just signed extensions, but financial details were not released, as the Red Wings tend not to do.

re-signs.

I guess it is just more negotiations.

http://www.kuklaskorner.com/index.php/hockey/comments/report_kovalchuk_drama_ends_tomorrow/ Maybe signing with LA, tomorrow? Who knows. About a week ago it was said he was going to be a Devil. Is he worth it?
-
My point exactly. He might not have been getting the goals, but he was still contributing with assists. That means someone was scoring. It doesn't matter who scores the goals, as long as they are scored.
-
According to NY Post Kovalchuk stays in New Jersey. $60 million, 7 years is the reported deal http://bit.ly/9BqoBS http://twitter.com/JeffMarek
-
Just don't let him play Chicago in October.
-
Don't forget Maltby's against St. Louis in '02. It is stupid reasoning. The team that wins the Cup doesn't get to choose the path it takes. The Wings have had some hard routes through to their Cups and some easier ones. It is one part talent, one part luck, and one part health.
-
Too many people put too much stock in goals. Yes, they are important (have to have them to win), but someone has to set up the guy to score. It is always nice to be balanced, but some guys are better at passing than shooting.

http://www.capgeek.com/charts.php?Team=15 These guys seem to be up to date. They had guys right after they sign.

Detroit is currently 4th highest in cap money for defensemen

Puck moving defensemen are very important. Being able to get that first pass moving down the ice, springing the forwards behind the other team's defense. -
