The official talk was that they didn't like all the times he would take a penalty and take no one else with him. Bowman was always on Holmstrom, too. He would tell him to get his feet out of the crease or he wouldn't last much longer. Yeah, our power play will look ordinary.

Former NHL'er Fredrik Norrena cheapshots player..
CenterIce replied to interminded's topic in General
Didn't really need to go for the head. The player's visor was probably why there was so much blood. Norrena should have just bailed to his right, but the player did just come in to run him, so he should have expected something. -
I have been saying this for awhile. He is on a similar path. Similar player. Datsyuk is above and beyond player, but they think the same way. Filppula even practices moves with Datsyuk, when the Wings do their individual stuff in each practice.

Check the history tab of the Wings' website. I don't think it has everything you want, but I think it has a lot.

Nobody that I know of. You are not thinking of Miller are you? It was his brother Ryan that won. http://www.hobeybaker.com/history/pastwinners/

You are right about those years. You do have to factor in how much TV has affected every thing, though. You used to always get 1-2 days between games. Now, they are trying to cram everything into as little time as possible.

Just don't play him versus Chicago in October. That is how he has been injured each year.
-
I can't think of a three year span where they made the Conference Finals or Stanley Cup Finals in a row. They have usually been all the way or get out in the first or second round. I don't think all the guys who were injured for long periods this year should be tired, but certain guys like Datsyuk, Lidstrom, and Stuart have logged a lot of tough minutes this year, because they have had to make up for players out. Those guys have the right to be tired.

CenterIce replied to waitahochiminute's topic in General
Right now, WunderRadio and Yahoo Music playing the game. So, I'll happily eat crow. They didn't the last time I tried them. -

On your XM radio or through their internet streaming? Yes, it will broadcast on your XM radio but not through their online service, which is what their app runs off of. WunderRadio and Yahoo Music have it as well. WunderRadio also has 89X. When you try 97.1 (during games), you get an alternate broadcast. -

How are they streaming them? What are they using? Is it "legal"? I am not saying there is nothing out there that can be used, but I am saying the NHL, and other leagues, don't want it to happen, unless they are the ones doing it their way, and they are getting the money. -

If you are looking for something to broadcast the station, use WunderRadio or Yahoo Music. If you are wanting to try and listen to the games, the sports leagues prevent this from happening. They do not want third parties broadcasting their games over the internet, because of the current broadcasting restrictions and their own pay for play services. Not even XM, who can broadcast the games over their radios, are allowed to play live sporting events over their premium, paid for, internet streaming. -
The Danes and Germans are considered to be the biggest untapped markets.

There is a rule that European based players have to be over here before the end of December of the current season. So, he can't.

Our best line in the playoffs last year was Franzen/Zetterberg/Cleary. Cleary can and should be on the second line. He can score, pass, defend, and hit, so whatever role he needs to play, he can. Right now, he needs to be mucking in the corners and getting to the front of the net, like Holmstrom.
-
Bertuzzi was up there with Zetterberg and Cleary but nothing was happening.

His contract is up at the end of the year. With Lidstrom, Rafalski, Kronwall, Stuart, and Ericsson as 1-5, you have Lilja, Lebda, Meech, and Kindl for 6-7. Kindl will be out of options, so he will be up. Also, I think they will resign Lilja, since they have more offensive guys under contract, than defensive guys. So, Lebda and Meech are probably the odd ones out.

As of now, the deal has yet to go through. Also, NBC is currently a broadcast channel not a cable channel. Only the cable channels are negotiated through contracts. I believe, by law, broadcast channels are required to be available. That could change, if they switch NBC to cable, but there are already some NBC cable networks, so I don't see that happening. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Must-carry#United_States
