Maybe Babcock will play mostly Lidstrom/Rafalski and Kronwall/Stuart, with Lebda and Meech mixing in on occasion.

I believe Draper is another one with a no trade clause.

Filppula is like Datsyuk early in his career. He is more willing to dish the puck than score. They even practice all those Datsyukian moves every practice. Just like Datsyuk, he will have to learn when he needs to drive the net and shoot. It took Datsyuk a few years, it will be the same for Filppula. In the mean time, just put him on a line with Franzen and Bertuzzi, and he should be fine.

The reason the Wings keep these guys around is depth. If you trade Lebda and Meech away for picks, your depth players are all AHL'ers. Wasn't it 07 where we had 3 defensemen get hurt? The Wings want depth.

Yes, he said the game against St. Louis, which is on the 9th, is a possibility.

Final score 11-8. Team Jagr over Team Yashin.
-
Team Russian goalie pulled, again. As he was going off, he was bear hugging a Team Jagr player down the ice. Nothing called. That was a little weird.
-
Team Jagr player threw stick, resulting in penalty/penalty shot, which was missed.
-
Team Yashin pulled their goalie.
-
Team Russia converts the penalty shot. 11-8.
-
Another penalty being called.
-
Saying that they have a lot of new buildings throughout the league.

It is kind of funny that there is one guy for Team Jagr who has no name or number on the back of his jersey. Steve Levy and Barry Melrose have no idea who is his. They just call him no name. Jagr scores makes it 11-6. Hudler assisted.
-
Team Russia got a penalty shot on a hook from Hudler. Russia didn't score. Only penalty, so far.
-
Team Jagr scores 8-6.
