It's on Comcast. That is because Comcast owns Versus. To add to the blackout talk, even if it wasn't on Versus, those in the Detroit area would not be able to see it. You have to be out of market.

Right now, the Wings are ranked pretty good on defense, with all the 3rd and 4th liners they are playing. They are second to last in goals scored. Once some of these injured goal scorers come back, I think we should be pretty good. Keep the defensive mindset, but get the guys who score goals scoring.

Just for future reference. You can find all sorts of good stats here: http://www.nhl.com/ice/teamstats.htm#?navid=nav-sts-teams

Oh, that title didn't really give it away.

Everyone is forgetting that Jim Nill is the Wings' Assistant GM. Yzerman is not going to bounce over Nill, if he is still here. The question is if Yzerman is patient enough to work his way up the ranks.

The thing is most of the comments earlier in the year were for him to be waived. Yes, there have been the Jim Carey and Andrew Raycroft's. Steve Mason shows that it is hard to repeat, but it just shows that the Red Wings know what they are doing.

That is the key point. If Chicago does any thing like this, making a big splash, to free up future cap room, they take a hit for this year's Cup run. Everything they have done so far looks like they are putting everything into this year. You take risks both ways. Either you run for the Cup and lose players for nothing in the off season, or you trade away a lot of players for a few or draft picks and hope you still have enough left.

My thoughts exactly. I have liked Howard since watching him during Frozen Four games, while he was at Maine. I was happy to see when the Wings drafted him. They saw him by chance, too. They were watching some of Maine's games because they had drafted Todd Jackson. He never worked out, but Howard has, so far.

I will believe it when I see it, and hopefully, they are completely healthy. However, it would be nice if it comes true.

No, I keep bookmarks of places around that have signings and check them from time-to-time. I signed up for DC Sports e-mail list to be notified, but I never have received an e-mail, but others have said they have.

Some of the money goes to the store and some to the player.

I think Rafalski has looked a lot better defensivley, lately. He is engaging guys more than letting them skate around him.

When they don't even publish the grades on the officials, you think they will publish the officials' comments?

That is the quote of the year.

Atlanta doesn't want to pay him the max. Also, he wants a long term deal. The "talk", so far, is that he wants 10-11 million/year for about 10 years.

From the headline, it looks like this is coming from something he said in the Free Press. http://www.freep.com/article/20100120/SPOR...-Kronwall-close Doesn't say definitely, but it does sound encouraging. It will good to get these guys back soon, but they also need to be ready.
