Basillie is going to press on. He believes that this ruling will not stand, because the NHL already approved of him as an owner, when he tried to buy the Predators. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/hock...article1235670/

As the article states, even though they announced the signing on July 1, the contract wasn't official until July 10th. Plenty of time to give him a physical. Also, why would you go on the word of the agent about an injury. They could have found something that no one knew about.

And that is probably why his hips are they way they are now. -
9 games over 4 or so years. You can't show much there. Even Ryan Miller looked horrible his first bit of time in the NHL, before he got full time minutes.
-
Doesn't this mean that Scott Walker and Aaron Ward are now teammates? Does that mean Ward gets a free punch to settle the matter?

DiPietro played 15 games last year. He hasn't played much the last two years. The Islanders are just covering their bases to make sure if DePietro isn't fully healthy by the start of the season, they will be covered. There is already rumors that Biron will be traded if DiPietro is ready, so the signing of Biron is in case of emergency. -
The Oilers are still trying to get him. They had some one hand deliver videos of their players to his agent. http://www.edmontonjournal.com/sports/hock...9478/story.html

Here is the Google translation: There are wages, and so are the Atlanta Thrashers captain Ilya Kovalchuks pay. It can hardly be compared with anyone else. According to Russian site Allhockey.ru, which Hockeysverige.se refers to, then a new agreement with the Trashers give Kovalchuk 11.36 million dollars per season - over 85 million. Shall the maximum It is the maximum as an NHL player can earn after the new collective agreement came into force. Ilja Kovalchuk finished sixth in the points league last year and may pay cod despite his team missed the finals last season. Last season topped Dany Heatley in Ottawa on fat pay league of 10 million dollars per season.

Refs named for season's opening games in Sweden and Finland

He seems to be following Chicago. If I was Florida, I would watch out for goals waived off. -
Unless he gets hurt, as well.

Former Russian President, Putin, wants to see KHL expand to Europe

Might get a little messy for the NHL, if this idea catches on. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=4341257 -
One more thing. This statement is the only thing in the whole article mentioning this. The rest of the article is a potpourri of other ramblings. No sources, references, etc. Plus, Illitch has commented since Holland, Nill, and Yzerman are all under contract, don't think about asking to talk to them.

You stated your own answer right there.

The poll looks exactly how I expected. More excitement for the youngest goalies that we don't have a lot of information about, and less excitement for the older more established guys. Sort of sounds like the normal theme around here, eh? I voted for Howard, because after watching some of his games during the Frozen Fours years ago, before he was drafted by the Wings, I want to see him play well at the NHL level.

Then, you will have to either use Meech at forward or bring up another guy from Grand Rapids. They are short a forward. Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Holmstrom, Franzen, Cleary, Filppula, Helm, Leino, Abdelkader, Draper, Maltby = 11 forwards. Meech could be the 13, but you need another for the starting 12.

I didn't go, but from what I remember was that Cubs and Blackhawk season ticket holders got first crack. Then, the rest went to a lottery system.
