Since 900/901 are Comcast local origination channels, I am guessing that it is up to the local center to feed through the game. It seems at least one area's center didn't feed it through. What I meant by it depends on what happens to the feed before you get it is if the feed is poor to to begin with, nothing is going to improve it. Also, Comcast greatly compresses their signal, trying to get more through less space. Compressing a signal can cause some of it to be lost in the transmission. The best signal is one that does not lose anything in the transmission.

It all depends on what was done to the signal before you got it. If it was greatly compressed, it could come out crappy.

FSN+ channels by carrier: http://msn.foxsports.com/id/6447224 Comcast's + channel is 901, so you have to have a digital package to get it. It used to be their Comcast Local channel, but they got rid of that.

Yes, Leino is scoring, but as pointed out all ready in this thread, that is not necessarily what the Wings need for the third/fourth line, right now. Also, as Mickey Redmond pointed out in some preseason games, Leino was doing a poor job along the boards, protecting the puck and also himself from getting smushed. He needs some time to work on that.

Good post. Players in different roles and knowing what roles they play. It has won Detroit 4 previous Cups.
-
Obvious answer is that we are scoring more goals than we let in.
-
They are waiting to see how well Franzen initially heals. They don't want to put him on Long-term IR, unless they have to, and that is the only way Leino would be brought up.

Guess who is leading the team in hits. Yep. Dan Cleary. http://www.nhl.com/ice/playerstats.htm?fet...rtssPlayerStats

In this regard, close wouldn't be good. You would not be able to see much, and I am guessing there will be TV stuff in the way. Up high, you will be over that stuff.

Babcock doesn't use his fourth line much to begin with, no matter who is on it, so don't read too much into his ice time numbers for them. He wants more ice time for Datsyuk and Zetterberg's lines, which comes at the expense of the fourth line.
-
If I remember correctly, he started a lot of games early last year and did well. Hence, his All-star selection.

They are giving up too many goals. They are winning, so it doesn't look bad. However, if they have any scoring issues, it will be magnified. Out of the two games where they have won or lost by more than one goal, the winning goal was an empty netter, so even those were close. The last three games they have given up two 3-1 leads and one 4-1 lead. The forwards have to give more support in the defensive zone, and the defensemen need to make better outlet passes.

Mclenen(sp.) handled the forwards last year. McLean handeled the defense. McLean now handels the forwards, and Mcrimmon handels the defense.

During last year's preseason Franzen was playing with Datsyuk and Holmstrom.

Still no announcement about Winter Classic Tickets

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news;_ylt=Auv4...p&type=lgns “The game is going to be sold out,” commissioner Gary Bettman said Wednesday night. “Most of the tickets, not all, are going to be going to the season-ticket holders of the Blackhawks. We’re not going to have a mass public sale like we did in Buffalo last year when we were playing in a 73,000-seat facility.” -

One thing I am wondering about Hamilton is that I think their are in the expansion territory of Detroit, Toronto, and Buffalo, which would mean that those three teams would get to veto the addition. Also, the new team would have to pay all three teams an expansion fee. That would be expensive.
-
My biggest thing is that only a few forwards are really good at the point, because if they have to drop back defensively, they have issues. I really think they need another defenseman back there.
-
As it said in the article, if it were to happen, it should be a current team moving. The league has a hard time keeping 30 teams stable and competitive. All this talk about a new franchise in Toronto, Las Vegas, or Kansas City needs to stop.

My Dad says they should just plug a sumo wrestler in the net. You wouldn't be able to get anything else in.

Wow, they just picked him up this summer.

Cap numbers are based on yearly average salaries.
