They did just sign Queneville in the off-season.

I have seen a few things, recently, that this offseason the cap may go down, which would make it interesting to see how teams handle that.

I could go back and look, but I think Mickey said that is beautiful country up there. Sort of like saying that area is beautiful. By the way, anyone a little annoyed by those FSD graphics. A lot of moving around and noisy. They sort of distract you, while you are trying to pay attention to the game.

Very few, if any, players have Datsyuk's play making abilities, but Flip can hold his own. He spends practices with Datsyuk learning all his tricks.

I think Filppula set up Franzen pretty well last year, when they and Sammy played on a line. The only question mark about Filppula is his tendency to pass up a shot, but if you put Franzen and Hossa on a line with him, he won't have to worry about shooting.

There was a lot of Pens' fans at the Joe, during the finals, because someone leaked a pre-sale password and a Pens' message board picked it up. -

Maltby was on the cover one of the years Detroit one it, I think 98. So, no jinx.

Howard is farther along in his development than Larsson and McCollum. Also, Conklin was signed to a one year deal. They wanted veteran insurance, to keep the window open, to get Stanley Cup number 12. I know it isn't a gaurantee, Howard has to earn it, but Holland has said that Howard will be the back-up next year. I will have to see if I can find where that was posted.

I recommend this book, too. I also liked "What it Means to be a Red Wing" Bud Lynch's "My Life: From Normandy to Hockeytown" is okay. I was hoping it would have more stories about the game, but it is still a good read.

Another plus for Maltby is that, beyond last year, he consistently plays all 82 games. Durability and reliability go a long way.

I believe that it should be available on the standard definition channel, too. Some channels show different programs in HD, but it is rare. The wording makes it should like the games are available in HD, if you have it. I am in the same boat with Comcast. I don't know how long it will be until they get the HD version, but I can't wait. It took them awhile just to get the SD channel.
