He looked a little woozy, too. That may have been part of why he is out of the game. The knee may be just enough to apease the press.

Havlat's shoulder is too fragile, San Jose won't trade with a potential playoff opponent, and Kaberle's price would be too high.
-
That is how he was at Maine. I remember seeing a tournament game where he gave up one goal from about 55 shots.

The Wings are usually looking for someone who can come right in and play, because it is usually an injury that causes a call-up. That is why Hartigan has been called up at forward and Quincey at defense.

Well, in the article, this is what Holland said, "In Nik Kronwall's case, he's skating. I think he's still probably - we don't have a definitive date, but certainly think in the next two weeks, give or take a few days, he'll be back in our lineup."

My take is to get rid of the rule that once a penalty is called it can't be dropped and give the linesman back the ability to either make some calls or inform the refs. I would like the officials the ability to confer, to see which one has the best angle.

Bummer Engelhardt was from Michigan Tech, my former school. Hopefully, they got some value out of the deal.

The NHL Network gets most of its feed from Canada, so my assumption would be Yes.

NBC has flex scheduling on Sunday, like they did in football this year. One game each Sunday can be moved to highlight it. This week it is Wings/Ducks at 3:30 PM. I think I read they have to announce the game 10-15 days in advance. From NBCSports.com: NBC will be able to select from up to four games on Sunday afternoons. Thirteen days prior to the scheduled games (on Mondays), NBC, in conjunction with the NHL, will select one of those games as the "Game of the Week" to be broadcast during the NBC window. The other games will remain available to the teams' regional carrier but will not be televised during NBC's broadcast window. Next season, all NBC regular season games will be broadcast on Sundays for the first time and all games will be presented in high definition. NBC will broadcast postseason games on select Saturdays and Sundays, and Games 3-7 of the Stanley Cup Final in primetime.

Versus schedule, Mon and Tue nights only. Why?

ESPN had Thursday night hockey. -
I believe he was an unrestricted free agent, at the end of his stint with Detroit. He knew he wasn't going to get a lot of playing time with Detroit, so he signed with Phoenix.

It is all TV related. They want the focus to be on their national telecast game(s), with very few other options available. If there was a bunch of other regionally televised NHL games (or weekend football games), there would be less people watching the national coverage. -
It seems as though he has missed the last three. I don't think he got Kronwall, Chelios, nor Hasek.

In this age of DRM and copyright laws, you also have to consider what they may be able to legally play. I can see the record companies wanting all sports franchises to sign licensing agreements to play their material.

You said it. The last time I went down there, and the snow hit during the game, it took forever to get home. If you can't drive in snow, don't go out.

My thoughts, as well.

The website listed the first time eligibles for the next induction. Larionov's first chance was this past one.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=3221458 The Sharks have been without two of their most physical players -- forward Clowe and defenseman Brad Norton -- for most of the season because of injuries, and Wilson cited the overall toughness of Western Conference rivals Detroit and Anaheim as a prime reason to make the deal.

You have to realize that he has had a back injury this year, which really affects a hockey player in all aspects of the game. He is there for defense, to help shut down the other teams top players.
