It does say after it was appartent that nothing was going to be done with Detroit, so it sounded like he was giving Detroit a chance. They were not going to offer 4 million/year, though.

My guess is that the NHL will take the old jersies out of the stores, so the new ones will be the only ones on the market.

Is anyone worried that we have not signed any of the 4 ufa yet?

The NHLPA also likes players to at least test the market to drive up salaries. -
Which of the 7 'big' names get into the Hall this year?

I say Francis, Messier, and Larionov are locks. I think MacInnis is the other in. -
I saw this on ESPNews, yesterday, but I hadn't seen any confirmation. I was wondering if it really happened. He got suspended for a hit on Brett Lebda. I think there was another one this year, too.

Hmm. Someone is thinking here, but is Toskala or Nabokov worth a number one, or would there be more included. I admit this year's trade deadline devalued draft picks for players.

I heard a story once that Steve doesn't do individual signings because he once had something he signed for a kid go right onto e-bay. He doesn't like the fact that people send kids up to them to later sell the stuff for profit. He does offer autographed stuff on the web, but you would probably have to run into him to get a "personalized" autograph. About Gordie, his stuff is expensive, but it is Mr. Hockey. Plus, his wife is sick, so they probably have huge medical bills. I have seen a lot more advertisments for him signing in the area than usual.

I was a member from the beginning until earlier this year, and I can agree with most of what is posted here. It is not worth it. I only stayed for the presales and hockey discussions. This year I went in with some guys for season tickets, and the hockey discussions were nonexistant, so I didn't renew. All they do is promise everything will be fixed in the next version, but all they ever change is the look. When I left, they were in version 3 of the same empty promises. I did get a couple of freebies because I belonged to the site, but if you consider the number of years I paid for the site, and how much little value I got out of it, I could have ust bought the items myself.

From what I remember with Bertuzzi trying to get some practice time with GR, before he played with the Wings, nobody can be sent down to plsy with GR, past the trading deadline. Ken Daniels said this was in the CBA.

The Joe looked pretty good, tonight. The lower bowl was mostly full. Everybody was into the game, until the end result.

Part of the Insider information is "local" content, but as you said, it is just links to the local articles. The other parts of Insider are mostly articles and information from ESPN personalities. A lot of NFL Draft information is Insider Only. It isn't the greatest, but you see something interesting every now and then.

Isn't it sometime this summer that the Wings would loose his rights, and he would go back into the draft?

I went to that game, and I was pointing that out to my nephew that Hudler was wearing the wrong helmet. Then, a little while later he pops over and got the right one on. It was kind of funny.

I won't get this right, but my favorite one went something like he jumped into a cabin filled with lumberjacks and came out with the only flapjacks that were on the table. -
Langfeld.

Since Schneider is from NY, the paper probably picked up some Internet rumour that someone started, bacause he wants Schneider to come back to NY. Right now, Schneider is a key to Detroit's power play, so I don't see him going any where.

As people have said, it is kind of old news. Plus. NY is closer to Boston, which is supposedly where his wife's family is from.

Something about a wrist injury and that he is flying to Detroit for the Wings to examine him. You can't always believe what you read, especially in foriegn press. However, take it for what it is worth. http://www.worldlingo.com/en/websites/url_translator.html

What was the guy on who wrote this? Sounds like his fantasy league trades. This should be in the rumour mill forum.

1/8 GDT: Detroit Red Wings Vs. Dallas Stars

even if he does make a fuss refs dont change their minds....and y risk takeing another penalty The refs can't change their minds. Once they call a penalty, it cannot be repealed. -

My last comment will be that whoever benefits from these calls, they should not be in the game. I would rather not have the Wings given a power play, if it comes on false penalties. The NHL wanted to increase fan attendance, they thought the quickest way to do this was to increase scoring, and the quickest way to did this was to call more penalties.
