At least not for about another 15 years or so. That is when Igor Grigorenko will hang up his skates and retire with the Wings. After that moment we are screwed... In Igor We Trust. (Sarcasm)

Why Are the Red Wings So Good Year After Year?
RedStormRising replied to livediehockey80's topic in General
The Red Wings are one of nature's constants, much like gravity, you always know what you're going to get and that is a good team putting up good numbers year in and year out. -

Anyone know if this game is on Sopcast or anything online?
-
Yes! Absolutely... Then he could play for at least another 10 years with the less friction and wear and tear on his knees..

For some reason I thought Drake was bigger...

Is there a video of this anywhere? Wasn't able to see the game tonight..

Minnesota!? You have got to be kidding me! You want to get rid of a team from the State of Hockey??? I almost started laughing until I saw that you were serious... This goes up there as one of the dumbest things I've seen on here.

What's new? Every stinkin year... boooring. I guess this means no Smyth?

Who the hell cares!? I honestly think this is the dumbest "tradition" in sports, eventhough everyone else seems to think it is so great. You are there to compete and win. You are enemies on the ice. If you want to be friends and shake hands, do it off the ice. Chelios nor anyone else for that matter is obligated to shake the opposing teams hands. 19 C get over it, seriously...

Things could start to get real chippy here real fast... GO WINGS! Keep up the pressure... -
Why did the ref not make a call either way!? Call goal or no goal!

My point is how good was he then and how "good" is he now? The pads have added to some of his success, although very little in my opinion. But he is still a very good goalie, one which I would love to have on my team any time.

Then: Now:

What about when he turns 46, 47, 48? However long he keeps playing. I don't think it would work. And it is quite a feat to be that old and still playing professional sports at such a high level still, which is why they do mention it.

What are the chances of all three winning their championships this year? That would be historic, but I believe it is very possible. When was the last time there were 3 Detroit sports teams this good before? Seeing that the Red Wings, Pistons, and the Tigers all have a shot at a championship this year... I was wondering if the Red Wings and Pistons potentially have playoff games on the same day or weekend in Detroit this playoff season? I'm from Minnesota and would love to make a trip out there to see the Red Wings and Pistons during playoff time to say that I was there. And if the Tigers are in town too, that's just a plus. I know the next round schedule for the Wings isn't official yet, but does anyone know if the Wings and Pistons will play some weekend? I would research myself but am at work and just thought of the idea for a Detroit sports trip. Anyone else make a sports trip like this before or have any advice? Thanks

LOL Oh yeah, sorry I forgot the savior Calvin Johnson will bring the Super Bowl rings to Detroit... (I don't think anyone will beat former Michigan man Tom Brady and the Patriots with Randy Moss.)
