I won't be surprised at all if he hangs them up... At some points this season it was agonizing for me to watch him be so slow and weak out there on the ice. Tough to see Mr. Perfect become human. End of another era.

That's messed up...

WCQF Game 7 GDT: Red Wings 6 at Coyotes 1
RedStormRising replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Over/under the 10 minute mark of the 3rd that the Coyotes start gooning it up? -
I have no problem with it, besides the fact he argued with the refs after the fact. He is just trying to get an advantage for his team, just didn't work this time. I can't remember the last game I watched that someone didn't embellish a penalty. Part of the game, do everything you can to win.

I'm sure it will be up soon. But boy was it bad. Oh well, on to the next one...
-
Yeah, since they were both back on the ice afterwards...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOWZCGcxD3w Crosby at the 50 second mark (Sorry for the terrible quality, only video I could find). "You know what, I've been watching hockey for thirty years, playing it, and that is one of the sickest moves I've ever seen!" -Matthew Barnaby on Crosby's SO goal against the Caps Are you kidding me!? Too me that wasn't THAT impressive. It was nice, but no Datsyuk deke... I've seen many SO and breakaway moves that are better than this one. When I heard him say that I laughed out loud. Do you guys think it was that great?

Where are all the haters at tonight? I'm so sick of the fair-weather fans, seriously... Great win Wings! Keep it up!

This forum is being overrun by naysayers... That is what is pathetic.

Well, at least he's been able to stay healthy...
-
Should have kept Howard in...
-
Um, what did he do exactly? A breakaway and PP goal? Not much you can do about those...
-
Um, I don't think that is a good video to plead your case with. That was not a legal hit... (But I do agree with you in the first place. The game has evolved.)

Could someone possibly help me out? I'm looking for some who recorded the game on Minnesota TV, whatever channel it was on... I was in attendance and after the game I was flooded with texts and calls. Apparently they showed me right after the win. Looking to find someone who recorded the game too see how ridiculous I looked lol. Send me a message!
-
I disagree. They can get pretty chippy out there... which scares me that May isn't in there.
-
As always, I will be in attendance. I'm just hoping Jimmy has a better outing than the last time I saw him play in the X. Yikes that was ugly... Not a fun game to be at by any means. Awww really? I was hoping for a May/Boogaard showdown... oh well Wings 4-2!

They actually failed to sell out for the first time this year against the Avs.
-
People need to start realizing and accepting that he is not the same player that he once was. I think his career is slowly coming to an end.

I'll have to disagree with both of those statements. One, I would say that Minnesota has better college hockey teams. Minnesota routinely has multiple schools in the Top 25 for both men's AND women's and nearly every Minnesota team compete for championships any given year. Two, the reason the North Stars were moved was mainly due to very poor management. The popular SI quote sums it up best: "When [Norm Green] came here, he said, 'Only an idiot could lose money on hockey in Minnesota.' Well, I guess he proved that point." Youth hockey in Minnesota has a cult like following, the Wild and Gophers very rarely do not sell out, and so... I'd have to give the nod to Minnesota.

Who's Ossie? Great video though..
-
Speak for yourself. Never liked him and never saw what he did to make people like him... Like already mentioned, we was too streaky, shot too much, and I just don't think he fit well with the team.
-
These jerseys are awesome! Trust me, people here in Minnesota are loving them already. The jerseys go light on the red and heavy on the green, which in my opinion is a very good thing. It also gives ode to the North Stars and has the look of the Gophers alternate jersey from their 2002 NCAA championship. It brings everything good together that is Minnesota hockey. Great job on this one!

Um, what is the point of this thread exactly? This incident is over and done with, it is a distant memory. Can't we just let it go already? Seriously...

Whoever wrote this is a moron... The Tigers are still in the top half of attendance this year in the MLB. Currently, they are 11th in average attendance. Nearly every single team is having attendance troubles this year compared to last year.
