Agreed. I remember the commentators talking about the Wings dominating at home against Chicago and San Jose and other tops teams when the games really mattered in the regular season. Wings get it done tonight.

I normally don't watch any pregame shows anyways because they always seem to say the same thing. Example: When they do that 'Coaches Face-off' thing between periods. To me it gets old and you can only say so much about the upcoming game.

So I was browsing ESPN and came across what I thought were two very interesting polls. The first, currently on the main page asks: Which has been the most dominant professional sports team of the decade? Lakers: 21% Wings: 26% Patriots: 38% ManU: 14% I found this one interesting because I find that its pretty respectable for the Wings to get over a quarter of the votes, even with the NFL and the Lakers being so popular in the US and not that much respect ever being given to hockey. But I guess you can't argue the Wings championships. The second poll I found interesting was one that asks: Which describes your interest in the Stanley Cup Finals? Overwhelming 66% of people responded with "Will watch every game." Now is this just indicative of the rematch between the Pens and Wings or do you think this is a genuine interest among Americans? Do you think that many people would answer the same way if there were two different teams playing in the Finals? Anyways I just found these two polls interesting and thought I'd share...
