Career-wise, Lidstrom is obviously better. But the poll and debate is THIS year, so I think you could make a solid case for Markov. Statistically, with the exception of +/-, Markov is technically "better" than Lidstrom THIS year. The differences between Markov's and Lidstrom's +/- could partially be attributed to the team surrounding each of them and does not necessarily reflect how well or poorly they as an individual are playing. Therefore, I say it is a push THIS year.

I pray to God that it is Conklin (I would also take a cardboard cut-out of Ozzie in net, because in that case it would most likely do a better job of stop pucks than the real Ozzie). My heart will fail if Osgood is in net because I'll be fearful that every shot will go in. I say give Conklin the majority of the starts the rest of the season and see what happens. I really don't think Osgood deserves to be in net right now.

I was too distracted by the use of "Redwings" in the title and the terrible song to enjoy the video... But that's just me, I'm a little irritated tonight after what happened. I'm not sure. In an ideal world I would love to have him. However, I haven't heard anything before from his teammates about him and what they think of him. If his teammates like him then sure, but if he's not a team player then no way. Plus I don't know how Holmstrom would feel about him coming to Detroit...
