I feel like this thread pops up at least once a season... I don't see the big deal about it. He's having fun, let him.
-
I came across this tonight, not sure who else has seen it but I got a good chuckle out of it. Especially when he is shown randomly sprinting down the back hallway of The Joe and of course his English skills
-
I know there are quite a few Minnesota Wings fans on LGW, anyone else going to the game tonight?
-
All I know is Howard better have a good game because I'm paying for both me and my brothers tickets! Let's Go Wings!
-
IMHO, I think the Wild will do all they can to resign Backstrom. So I don't see this happening...
-
Ugh, not another one of these threads... Unless we are winning games by 5 goals, we aren't a good team apparently. I just don't get it.
-
What's up with all the "What's wrong with (insert player/team)?" threads lately? Players and teams have off-nights and even go into slumps occasionally.. Can you believe it!? Hossa is fine. Z is fine. The Red Wings are fine. They will all get things turned around in time. Even if they aren't scoring or winning games for the team, their presence and other intangibles are irreplaceable and still very helpful.

To me, it looks like AO's forearm hits him in the back then his elbow might make contact as he turns and pulls away to go after the puck, all in one motion. But Heward is hunched over and off balance near the boards so it may look worse because of that.
-
You must follow someone to hit them, if you let up YOU will get hurt, and you lead with shoulders and elbows with follow more times than not... This is unfortunately part of the game. I bet you were one calling for the suspension of Torrey Mitchell of San Jose last year when he sent Kurtis Foster crashing into the boards and breaking his leg in the process, while they were both chasing the puck.
-
So every time a player who is checked gets injured, the one giving the hit should be suspended because they are 'careless'?
-
Those are completely different hits. It didn't look that bad to me, and definitely wasn't dirty, just unfortunate. I don't think AO should be suspended.

Huds, Cleary, and Flip for Vokoun!? What are you smokin' dude... Holland wouldn't even make that trade if his life depended on it, that's how much it sucks.

80% of your revenue comes from 20% of your fans. That is why.

Why I never want Sean Avery back in Detroit
RedStormRising replied to haroldsnepsts's topic in General
Not going to lie, I love Avery and think he is good for the game. -
Well if players aren't lazy and don't suck then they won't get called out. Unfortunately there's always someone who fits that criteria.

Cleary is lazy and sucks 2.0

Wow, interesting to say the least.

St Louis reaction to Palin dropping puck this Friday
RedStormRising replied to redhot's topic in General
Buying airtime does not make a difference. Obama is "using" the World Series as an opportunity to give a politcal speech. That is your whole reasoning against Palin because she is "using" a sporting event to benefit herself and McCain. Palin is dropping a puck in a pointless game. But if she paid to get the opportunity to do it, then it would be acceptable? There is not a big difference there, according to your reasoning. Both are using sports to promote their party and candidacy and is a smart thing to do. Both can and should use every opportunity that they can and both are right by doing so. Politics are involved in everything, including sports. Everyone should be used to it by now. It isn't going to ruin your life and it will happen again. Life goes on. I guess we'll agree to disagree. -
St Louis reaction to Palin dropping puck this Friday
RedStormRising replied to redhot's topic in General
It's not like she's speaking or anything... I think everyone on here is taking this way too seriously. Get over it. And haroldsnepsts, Obama is getting a prime-time spot that will put one biggest sporting events in the world on hold. He will get to say everything he wants to within that time slot. Palin is dropping a puck and not saying a word. I think there is a big difference there, but I guess that's just me. For both occasions don't watch it if it annoys you so much. -

I really don't see what the problem with it is... I think it is good for McCain/Palin. She was offered an opportunity and she took it. How about the 30 minute spot Obama has lined up that will DELAY the World Series start time... Any one have any problems with that???
