You should really cheer for the Packers! Not much bad-blood between the two teams/fans, yet. Fellow NFC North member. CHI and MIN fans cheering against us I get (I cheer against those two all the time), but Green Bay & Detroit don't seem to have that beef....right now atleast. It's likely coming in the next few years though. Hiei...here's hoping we can go back-to-back for ya!

I did...and I can appreciate that. Frustration does that. It's the same feeling I've had all season with our defense. There's no reason they shouldn't be what they were last year. They lost no one aside from Jenkins.

I'm not some homer that can't distinguish between a huge play and one that's seemingly less significant. What I'm saying is that regardless of a potential scoring play, it changes the course of the game going forward. To be so naive as to say that single potential touchdown would've been the difference is ridiculous given the time of the game it happened. If it was the last play of the game, that's one thing. If you have a problem with the challenges, that's one thing. Every team goes through that. I could make an argument that the Packers should be 16-0 given the winning touchdown KC scored against us didn't actually happen. However the refs missed it and life goes on. It's not that I don't see it as you do. It's that a ref is a ref, and both teams got poor calls against them. Today, Detroit got more tough calls, but it doesn't mean the outcome of the game absolutely would've been different.

Why? They both have direct effect on the outcome of the game. That's like saying, don't mention a missed field goal or a blown 2-point conversion in the third quarter because multiple scores happened after that. The fact of the matter is that each play or non-play for that matter changes the game going forward. To sit there and say that would've changed the game is irrelevant because it would've changed everything else going forward. Hell, I could say the same about the questionable non-call on Johnson. We could also make mention that 7 of our top stars didn't suit up. Lastly, You couldn't review the play because your coach lost a challenge. It has nothing to do with "magic". That's the rules, like it or not.

Really? That pass interference call? And "we're" paying off the refs? Gimme a break. The ref missed the call because the defender was in his line of sight. Nothing more, nothing less. The Packers didn't get the record they did by getting lucky or "paying off the refs". If you wanna be mad about something, be upset by how undisciplined your team is. I actually really like that idea. I'd be in favor of it.

More so than that, with the pounding our offensive-line took yesterday, added to the 2 starters still not back from injury yet, I see McCarthy being even more cautious. I'm not expecting much out of the Packers the next two games because now that 16-0 isn't an option, it simply doesn't matter. Obviously, you want to go into the playoffs on a high note, but this team has been playing high for so long already. Sometimes an "Uff" like this is exactly what the doctor ordered to refocus and re-engage. Aaawh, C'mon Hiei....I thought you and I were buddies now. I understand, coming from a Bears-fan perspective. I too, was cheering against CHI in the Superbowl a few years back.

Whether this is true or not, Suh does need to learn to control his emotions. Still, this is interesting. Then again, its nothing more than an unsubstantiated rumor that Suh didn't once make mention of. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Did-the-Packers-untying-Ndamukong-Suh-8217-s-sh?urn=nfl-wp13954

Bruan was tested all regular season with each result coming back clean. His "dirty" result (which his people say there's a medical reason for) didn't take place until the playoffs. Most importantly, with the voting being for the regular season only, it stands to reason he should keep the MVP award. Still, something just doesn't add up here. Braun is one of the smartest players in the MLB and he had already gotten his lifetime contract earlier this season. It makes no sense for him to use PED's. Anyone that does is a cheater in my mind, but there just seems to be something amiss with this one and I'll wait until after the appeal process is completed before passing judgement.

Hell Yeah! McGhee was terrible last year and Ramirez definitely shores things up. As for Braunie, I'm absolutely sick and just can't believe what I'm hearing. It really doesn't make sense at all and I'm more than curious to see how this plays out.

    Best Goal Ever

He literally had less than two inches below to bury that shot at the spot he did. A quarter inch higher or outside and it clanks off the post and goes out. Two inches down or inside and Niemi gets a shoulder on it. It was literally the most difficult shot I've ever seen that actually went in.

As much as my jaw dropped when I saw that goal at the time, the final replay they show from behind the goalie shows just how sick that shot was. Anyone that plays hockey knows how impossible that shot is.

I posted this in the NFL thread, but it bares repeating in this one: Quite the jumbled mess from the 3-seed to the 8th. Huge game tonight with major implications. If New Orleans pulls it off, they've got a shot at the bye come playoff time. If New York pulls it off (which I don't see happening), things get even more jumbled from 4th-8th. Strength of schedule is huge along with key injuries. 1. Green Bay Packers 11-0 (Remaining SoS: 31-23, 0.574 Winning %) 2. San Francisco 49ers 9-2 (Remaining SoS: 20-35, 0.364 Winning %) 3. New Orleans Saints 7-3 (Remaining SoS: 31-34, 0.477 Winning %) 4. Dallas Cowboys 7-4 (Remaining SoS: 24-29, 0.453 Winning %) 5. Chicago Bears 7-4 (Remaining SoS: 27-28, 0.491 Winning %) 6. Atlanta Falcons 7-4 (Remaining SoS: 25-29, 0.464 Winning %) 7. Detroit Lions 7-4 (Remaining SoS: 31-23, 0.574 Winning %) 8. New York Giants 6-4 (Remaining SoS: 31-23, 0.646 Winning %) New York has a brutal finish to their schedule, while SF has a cake walk. The Packers remaining schedule is tied with Detroit's for the second most difficult among the 8 in the playoff picture. Should be an interesting and fun end to the season.

Now its looking like it will be 2 games for Suh rather than the earlier report of being a minimum of 2. Has anyone heard otherwise?
