Leino has practically no NHL experience whatsoever and Helm isn't the point producer Sammy is. On our current roster Helm or Leino do deserve a spot, but not Sammy's. Maltby's spot would be fine.

You mean like when he broke down by opening the scoring of the Stanley Cup Finals last year? Or how about the time a little later in that game where his forecheck and hit directly lead to another goal of his own. The guy makes nothing yet puts up beyond solid numbers for his payscale yet some here just continue to follow this stupid claim that he's worthless that some people made here a couple years ago. You not liking a player is not a valid reason to get of him and there are *not* better options out there for how much he makes. Name one otherwise.

I liked Pittsburgh's (which was last years WC jersey) and I've always like the Rink-and-Stick logo along with the colors of the Canucks throwbacks. Great uniform. I also like the Buffalo classic logo. As for this years, I really like St. Louis' and LA's. Both sharp and classy (especially STL).

I was watching Entourage during a good half of the game so I must have missed that commercial. It was really good and I'm glad to hear NBC is already pimping the game.

That's just s***ty. It seems we hear about Snowmobile accidents (especially on thin ice) way too often. I don't snowmobile myself, but riding on a lake sure seems like something everyone should steer clear of until well into the season.

The bolded is not a problem...that's what could realistically happen. However, there's a decent chance Hudler and Sammy will be re-signed as well if Hossa parts. FYI, while cheaper neither Helm nor Leino are better than Hudler or Sammy.

It won't be an issue of that. It'll be an issue of Franzen plus 2-3 others for Hossa, but no way Holland lets Z walk or doesn't give him his fair due.

With the cap reportedly going down I just don't see how Kenny could manage to keep him along with a good amount of our important pieces. Personally, I'd rather enjoy him being a Wing this year and just see what happens. No hard feelings either way.

Inordinate or a few more than what any other player would get? Every player gets those points, and I highly doubt the majority or even a good portion of them are garbage.

More often than not, the better the player the more "meaningless" secondary assists. I'd be willing to bet Z, Dats even Crosby have plenty of those garbage secondary assists.

j.hoop: If Sammy has 20 points i n 22 games that means he's on pace for just under 75 points, not 60. Pretty great given his salary. Hank's a part of it, but just like this board likes to criticize Sammy at every opportunity...it'd be nice for people to return the favor given the level he's played at thus far this season. Also, plenty of Sammy's goals have been unassisted or had nothing to do with Hank. Why is it that players like Z get the benefit of the doubt on garbage points but when a guy like Sammy gets solid points, it "shouldn't count" because he's playing alongside the elite? Ridiculous.
