Don't you live in Sweden.....what difference does a couple extra hours make? Seriously, what time is it there right now?

He actually has been brutal. It seems to be the LGW mantra to jump all over a guy for a single bad play let alone a bad game, but Lebda really, truly has been rough.
-
God forbid I don't check LGW every waking minute of every day. I just saw your post for the first time and responded. I didn't realize there was an expiration to when you can respond to a post. [/sarcasm] Well this is a discussion board and as a result the idea behind it is to discuss topics and people's views on them. Gofigure that some people replied to your post. That hows a dicussion board works. The comment you made was a simplistic reason as to why the Red Wings didn't win the Cup in 05/06. I'm stating that Legace was only one of the many reasons they didn't win that year. To pin the entire wrap on Legace when the Wings didn't even get past the first round is beyond obscure.
-
475 goals is seriously quite an accomplishment. A big congrats to him.
-
No chance. The Wings weren't competing at a high enough level to win the Cup with any goalie in net that year. This is just an ignorant comment.
-
If it was a clean hit, why should he have to? TBH, I completely disagree with lessening any *clean* hit in the sport. That's hockey.
-
To be fair though, the only reason it looked high is because his head was at waist level. QFT Not only was the player skating with his body down he seems to drop even lower right before the hit was delivered. If anything, Sutter needs to learn from this. Welcome to the NHL.

Loving the new because its firing on all cylinders and it balances out their scoring attack. The first line has been lethal and the second line isn't too far behind. Sure its fun to see Z and Dats together since we've all become accustomed to it, but its not too shabby seeing the beautiful give-and-go's between Dats and Hossa.

I'm seriously at a loss for words. I don't what the hell is going on with my picks so far this season.
-
TBH, it could've been a lot worse. You never want to hear a guy like Franzen is going to be out around a months time, but that play could've resulted in something much more devastating.

Detroit/Chicago Unveil Winter Classic Sweaters
NeverForgetMac25 replied to 96warrior's topic in General
Meh....I'm not crazy about them but I suppose it doesn't really matter. -
Thanks....I figured as much but wanted to be sure.
-
Why....because *you* say so?
-
And those errors should be taken care of by the business that caused them. That's how the business world works.

I would absolutely let them know about it. I'm sure they'd hook you up with the correct one at no cost and probably let you keep that one.

St Louis reaction to Palin dropping puck this Friday
NeverForgetMac25 replied to redhot's topic in General
The same reason Chicago fans hate us. -
This certainly doesn't warrant starting a new thread, but I have a goalie/stat related question. When Team A is about to be called for a delayed penalty and Team B's goalie goes off for the extra attacker (while his team maintains possession of the puck) does his reduction of TOI affect his GAA at all? I.E. If a goalie allows 1 goal against during a game and his TOI is 59:15, does that make his GAA slightly higher than 1.00? It goes without saying that it affects the goalies TOI, but I was just curious if it affects GAA as well. Anyone know for sure either way? ________________________________________________________________________________ As for the game, the FZS line last night was stellar. They were really firing on all cylinders and I thought Sammy was great all evening. The Hossa-to-Dats-to-Hossa-to-Homer PP goal gave me a tiny orgasm, and when Lids released that one-timer I simply said, "Good God!" Only a lucky bounce and a couple of poorly timed penalties kept that game from looking like it truly was.

Weird....every single team plays on Saturday meaning all teams that played Friday night (I.E. Detroit) will be on the tail end of a B2B on Saturday. That seems really random especially with no games on Sunday. Interesting....it certainly changes some picks. Friday: Anaheim @ Ottawa Philadelphia @ New Jersey NY Rangers @ Columbus San Jose @ Florida Atlanta @ Detroit Los Angeles @ St Louis Saturday: New Jersey @ Philadelphia Atlanta @ Boston Ottawa @ Toronto Anaheim @ Montreal Carolina @ NY Islanders Pittsburgh @ NY Rangers San Jose @ Tampa Bay Los Angeles @ Nashville Columbus @ Minnesota Washington @ Dallas Detroit @ Chicago Florida @ St Louis Buffalo @ Colorado Edmonton @ Vancouver Calgary @ Phoenix

Ugh....why "Conkblock" hasn't become the nickname of choice is beyond me? That's the one and only way I refer to him.
-
I firmly believe you (and this statement) are 100% correct.
-
That is absolutely incorrect. Just because Detroit has enjoyed more success since Columbus' inception most certainly doesn't mean Detroit is now the front runner to head East. That reasoning is completely off base. Perhaps it was a joke....I hope atleast.

Wings prefer to pummel opponents with power play, not fists

Any form of PK (beit 5-on-4 or 5-on-3) Z is still better than Dats. His positional play (while a crucial part of the two massive 5-on-3's he helped kill against Pittsburgh) were just a portion of that kill. The play he made on Crosby to keep the puck out in Game 4 was pivotal in that series. TBH, Dats (while still incredible on defense) is not better than Z no matter what the strength (ES, PP, PK).

Never once did I say or imply that. I simply stated that Babs likes having the LH/RH combination on the point and for obvious reasons. Stuart absolutely wouldn't be a detriment on the blue line, but obviously Babs isn't just looking for who wouldn't be a detriment, he's looking for assets and he must find Sammy's defensive responsibility and RH'ed shot to be more appealing than any of the LH'ed options. Sidnote: No one is congratulating Sammy for being the best option of Maltby and Cheli (that's not much of a compliment), but obviously Babs sees enough in him that it makes more sense for him back there rather than another LH'er. That' sounds great NN, and I'd be on board for that as well. However, Babs continues to stick Sammy back there thus it doesn't seem like much of an option. While Hudler most certainly has better vision/hockey sense, Babs definitely seems more interested in the fact that Sammy is better defensively and an RH.
