You said the key words there yourself, "making payments on time". This is nobody's fault but his own. Not the mean old bank....just Fedorov's. Pay your bills Sergei.

More likely, maybe Hossa could hit 50 playing with Filppula. If those two are paired with Franzen I expect massive assist numbers from Filppula. Think about the scorers he'll have alongside him.

I'm sorry Os, but this is ridiculous. First and foremost, you and I have no clue what type of interest rate he got on his loan. For all we know he could've locked in a nice fixed rate when rates were phenomenal (which they were when he got those loans). As for the "s***ty charges" you speak of, what could you possibly be referring to at this point of his loan? Lastly, why should the bank want to work with you if you fall behind? Don't get me wrong, it would be very nice if a bank did work with its clients to help them out when they run into a pinch, but its not their obligation to do so. They weren't the ones who took out the loan and signed the agreement to pay it back. They did their part, why should Sergei not have to do his?

Ah....its not an LGW thread about Ticket prices unless OsGod posts in it. The world is in balance.

Official: Wings vs Blackhawks in Winter Classic
NeverForgetMac25 replied to NEpats1028's topic in General
I would think this takes preference over that. I, for one will be there. -
TBH, its stupid that they do it this way. For Christ's sake.....like its that big of a deal to release the big games the day before the full schedule.

Lame. What happened to the whole, "day after the MLB all-star game" talk?

If we lose in the Finals, is '08-'09 season a failure?
NeverForgetMac25 replied to SFwingsfan's topic in General
As much as I don't care for being cocky, I will say that if the Wings were going to miss the playoffs for the first time in (what would be) 18 years, it most certainly won't be with this roster. -
Offseason report card: Champs even stronger

The Wings will play every single team in the NHL atleast once next season. Yes, along with St. Louis -
Or he could've blown it for the Wings. Thanks for bailing Brent.

IIRC, 5-6 per team I believe. So atleast 2 less than what we were handed after the lockout. -

Regardless of what happens this upcoming season, when was the last time your friends' teams that are non-Wings-fans won the Cup? You smell what I'm stepping in? -
The key there is percentage of income to loan. I have a home loan and two cars that I'm paying back. While I'm not about to get into how much money my wife and I make, I will say that the initial principal values of our loans is about 277% of what her and I make per year. Now keep in mind that this is beyond rough depending on what type of loan Sergei has, but if he's $2 million in the hole on his bank loans he would have to make $722,021.66 per year to be in the exact same 277% of income situation that I am in. Barring anything unkown, I don't feel sorry for Feds if he doesn't have the money *now* to pay for his loans seeing as that a good amount of us all have loans in the same *percentage of income* ballpark.

I know you weren't asking me this but I just wanted to throw in my two cents. While similar, from what I understand about Fedorov's situation compared to Mac's, there are some big differences. Mac is an alcoholic and gambling-addict who has taken control in those areas, but where Fedorov and Mac's situation differ is in the timing. Mac was bought out, divorced and forced to take a massive pay-cut due to the new NHL salary cap. I don't care who you are, that would bankrupt most people if you are living up to your level of income, which 99.9% of people are. Don't get me wrong, his gambling addiction most certainly was a major culprit, but those aforementioned things are what did him in. From the lack of information we have with Feds and whats been reported, it just looks like he isn't paying his bills or blew through money. Edit: (Kelsey) Grammar

Well, now its clear why he called Washington's initial $2 million offer embarrassing. Pay your Bills, Sergei.

Wings Petitioning to Have Meech's Name on the Cup
NeverForgetMac25 replied to CanadianSwede19's topic in General
QFT Some people on here had the impression that it was 40 games since one of the sportscasters during the finals stated they needed one game in the finals or 40 regular season games, but that in fact is incorrect. It is 41, as that is half the regular season. -
God, your an *******.

My wife's favorite player is Kronwall due to his Hateful open-ice hits. She got a kick out of his bonus section, although her and I both wish that section had been longer or shown each hit from multiple angles so you could appreciate them more. I also loved the Wireless Practice. It's always great (and hilarious) to see how players interact at practice. As a whole, I actually liked the other Championship DVD's a little better but overall it was still very good.

Drake expected to make retirement official today

I had a feeling he was gonna go out on top. Can't say I blame him. -
Who gets the 12th starting forward spot?
NeverForgetMac25 replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
Sidenote Dump & Thump: Please make sure when you quote me, you only include things that I say. This sentence: "Because Maltby is a shell of his former self when it comes to physical play..." was not one that I made and even though I agree with it, I don't like when people quote me as saying things I didn't. -

On the road, that would be the last line I would want to see given the fact that the opposition will have the last line change. Even at home that line is not talented enough to stack up against anything but other 4th lines. You can have Mac or Downey in. You can even have Maltby in, but there's no need to dedicate an entire line to that type of player when the team as a whole has shown that it can stand up for its players in one way or another. -

NeverForgetMac25 replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
Maybe I'm wrong, but I would like to believe there are players out there that would rather take a little more time in the minors to eventually play for a perennial contender rather than rot away on a team like L.A. or Florida. I'm so sorry if McGollum winced when the Wings drafted him but if playing right now is more important than getting the *correct* amount of preparation/training to be successful on this Wings team or any other in the NHL than it looks like someone has some growing up to do. I'm fairly certain the Wings' brass knows better than any other when a player is truly ready to be successful and make the jump to the bigs. -

Because there isn't room for him on this current roster to get the playing time he needs/deserves. He can be down in GR playing a top role and truly developing into an even better all-around player rather than getting 6-7 minutes a night in Detroit. Then when he's out of options or truly ready to crack the Wings lineup, he'll be brought back up and be a better player for it. -

Not when you look at the Wings top 2 lines and the fact that the third will be used as a shutdown line. By your reasoning, isn't Cleary wasted on the third line? -

Because Maltby is a shell of his former self when it comes to physical play... Thank you, and not to mention against tougher teams I'd like to see them play Downey or Mac to counter rather than the Maltby we see nowadays.
