Assuming you wouldn't touch the Lids-Raf defensive pairing on the 1st PP unit, the OP is suggesting that Dats or Z would play alongside Kronwall. If thats the case who would you insert in Dats or Z's place to make up for them not being up front during the first unit? There's no one on our roster that comes close to filling the void that Z would leave. Hudler might be a good option, but then you take him off the second unit, and he is a little easier to knock off the puck then Z.

What does the fact that it ws "one call" or "that it wasn't like it was an OT goal to win or lose the series" have to do with anything. I don't care if its triple OT in Game 7 of the SCF's or Game 23 of the regular season. The point is that it was a falsely negated goal. That being said, I've already mentioned that the Wings (and their fans) can't use that as an excuse in other threads. The Stars won last night, and the Wings will have to get back to their game in order to win on Saturday.

I never hope for a loss but as others have said, you can take some positives out of it. I would say that Dallas played the best game of the series, the Wings had a goal taken away from them due to poor officiating all night, played on the road which favored Dallas' matchups, and still had a tie game with 15 minutes left. While that effort was better for Dallas, I don't see all those things happening again on Saturday at the Joe. Here's hoping the Wings close it out in 5.

I'm really not even that upset about the superstitions. Its the "the outcome is inevitable" and that to me your initial thread comes off a little arrogant. Obviously, were not really getting anywhere so we should probably just drop it and look forward to Saturday.

Come one GMR, you know that's not what I was saying. The first post-game remark I made in this thread specifically said, "not that it change the outcome of the game". My point is that your initial post did more than just say the Wings were going to win this series. It discredited Dallas as if they don't belong in the same barn as the Wings. Tonight the Stars did.

No, I'm asking people to respect other's beliefs whether they believe them or not. TBH, now that I think about it those "predictions" in the GDT, they aren't really the same as those who start threads about how there shouldn't be a game 4 because the Wings are SOOO much better! Guess what, there was a game 4, and the Stars won it.

You may not believe in jinx's but they are no different than superstitions. It's no different than people saying "shutout" on a game day. You may not believe in it but there are others that do, and people should respect that.

I'm not going to get too worked up about tonights game. I'm not happy about it, but hopefully McCreary can ref Saturday's game and life will be good.

This is exactly why I can't stand when people spout off. It doesn't mean it changed the outcome of the game tonight, but I would hope it would give some a slice of humble pie.
