I couldn't agree more. That was beyond disgusting because you just watch Z slide down the side of the ice while those two clowns just let it happen assuming nothing bad could happen. The Turco Loungin' was bad, but the SH goal when your team is down by a single goal with 18 full minutes left to play is even worse. That's not even taking away anything from Turco's stupidity. He gave up on his team with just under 3 minutes to go and the team only trailing by 2.

To me, I'd rather be the guy that didn't talk about blowing through teams only to have what seemed like an unsinkable ship hit an iceberg. I totally hear what you are saying, but I don't care for listening to people joking about how Game 4 shouldn't even take place because the Stars "obviously don't belong in the NHL".

This coming from the guy that gave up on the Wings chances before the postseason even started. Give me a break! No series is over until a team wins 4 games. Yeah, perhaps. However, I do remember them saying something about issues with PIT but not so much with DET. That being said, I would assume they've figured out a schedule so whether its a sweep or a 7 game series that it can work within Mellon Arena's schedule.

Do you have a link to that article on mlive? The other day the league said they had days already scheduled due to other events that are scheduled at the 4 different barns.

The PIT/PHI series has nothing to do with the start date of the SCF's. The dates have already been established whether the CF's finish tomorrow or both of them in Game 7's.

I picked both series to finish 4-2, with DET and PIT coming out on top. If the Wings and Pens take care of business tonight and tomorrow I'm sure gonna lose some bonus points.

Pretty easy to sit there and make bold comments when you don't have to back them up with anything. I can do that to: "The Penguins will win the Stanley Cup this year!" I'm not gonna bet on it, but I'm saying it.

Its not about giving the Pens defense the credit they deserve becausee they have been very good this post season, its that most people without ties to either team will tell you that the Wings defense from top to bottom is much deeper than Pittsburgh's.

TBH, with all the people on LGW talking about next round as if the Wings had officially already moved on, this is actually a breath of fresh air. Not that I think he's accurate, I'm just sayin'...... Sidenote: He's obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed if his convictions are that strong given how lopsided these two series' have looked. That or he hasn't watched a single game of either. I know what you mean, but the whole point of what Matt was saying is that hopefully emotional people that go f*ckin mental when the Wings lose a game will think twice before not only making ridiculous posts, but starting over-reactive dumb threads as well.

Just a FYI, Ozzie's departure from the Wings is looking like it was the best thing for him to find the need to change his game and turn him into the machine he is playing like right now. Just sayin'.........

ARice89 pretty much summed up everything I was going to say in thread. While not being arrogant toward the OP, you really need to know a little bit more about the Wings defense aside from Lidstrom before making a comparison. On paper, the matchup isn't even close. That's not to say the Pens won't find a way to score a goal or two, but the type of game the Pens play falls right into the hands of the way Detroit wins games. In all due respect, if you honestly feel Detroit only has a slight advantage on defense due to Lidstrom, then you don't much about the Pens' potential opponent.

Zion's thread after the Predators tied the game in last minute of Game 5 was pricelesss as well. Then after Franzen buried it less than 2 minutes into the first OT, he stated that it didn't change anything. Since then however, he has changed his tune. I will say this: he did take his verbal beating like a man and realized the error of his way.

Regardless, I don't see the good in being arrogant. As Stevie Y once said, "When you lose, say little. When you win, say less."
