Tight first period thus far. -
Also.... Z's goal was the type of thing that cures diseases.

To this day, I find that to be one of the most overrated goals. What he did was no more impressive than skating by the goalie sideways only to bring the puck back and tap it in. It got so much notoriety simply because jumped and spun, which any hockey player above the rec leagues can do and most would have no problem making contact with the stick. The thing about that goal, is that it "looks cool", but in all actuality when you break it down it isn't that amazing. I'll take the Toews, Nash or Z goal this year way before that one.

I completely agree. I don't think last night's outcome holds any bearing on what Brunnstrom does. He'll take a number of factors into his decision but an 8-2 blowout score (I would think) isn't one of them. Edit: (Kelsey) Grammar

Who scares you the most...DAL or SJ?
NeverForgetMac25 replied to NeverForgetMac25's topic in General
Than don't bother posting in this thread. The thread asked which team would you fear more given the specific situation I gave. If you don't have an answer that relates to the question, why bother posting? It has nothing to do with what we're talking about. Nice contradiction there. You've lost the small amount of credibility you had with this statment. Where do you come up with this stuff? I said, I've watched pretty much every minute of the playoffs minus when multiple teams are playing at the same time. It's not a good one. -

I didn't change a single word, I bolded statements because my question obviously went over people's heads.....you especially. In regards to you fearing both teams equally, it absolutely doesn't make your answer invalid or incorrect. If you had left it at that, I wouldn't have questioned you in first place. However, then you went on to say that if anyone didn't fear both of them equally then they haven't been paying attention to the playoffs, which I find to be a ridiculous statement.....hence I called you out on it. Yeah, because momentum from winning a best of seven series where you've had to come back from being down 0-3 means absolutely nothing. Just forget it. -

Thank you. This is the type of discussion I intended for when I started the thread. -
Who scares you the most...DAL or SJ?

I guarantee I've watched more games than most people on these boards. The only games I've missed portions of are ones that were on at the same time as others. Obviously, the point of the question went way over your head, so I won't even bother explaining it. -
Who scares you the most...DAL or SJ?

What does that have anything to do with *one* team scaring you more than the other? Why do you have to be equally scared of both teams or you haven't been paying attention to the playoffs? That comment makes no sense. I respect and fear both teams, but once again, this thread was posed simply based on the scenario I asked in the original post. Which team scares you more, Dallas or SJ if they are able to run the table 4 straight? -

Why would you do it? Why jinx it? Just like Lids denied Pierre after Game 6 against Nashville about it being similar to 2002, I will not compare this to what took place in 2002. Completely different teams in completely different situations. The only similarity is that they are chasing the same goal....NOTHING MORE!
-
Of course he is. He continues to be a healthy scratch.
-
I'm fairly certain SWF was referring to the forward lines, which haven't changed all series.
-
Yes, because the *lines* are working. Inserting Maltby even to simply play in Mac's spot will change the chemistry that line has been gaining with each other. There is absolutely *no* reason to change anything when your team has won its last 6 games and currently has the longest unbeaten streak in the playoffs.

So I'm watching the highlights this morning before I left for work, and is it just me or is there not sweeter sound than when a Red Wing blasts a one-timer on the PP and rings it in off the post. That clank, is like heavenly music. Just like Feds doing it in the '02 WCF's against Colorado, Z's one-timer from Lids last night was just a thing of beauty. The key goal is the play Lids made. First and foremost, he got the puck on a cross-ice pass and as the Avs defender noticed who received the pass he literally stopped skating toward Nick and backed off to try and get in position rather than trying to pressure (that's the respect Lids commands). Then he literally moved as far over as he could, took the entire Avalanche team out of position for a one-time shot from the opposite side and put the puck exactly where it needed to be for Z to bury it. Gorgeous I haven't even scratched the surface when it comes to beauties. Z's next was jaw-dropping, Franz's first goal that he effortlessly pushed forward from his skate to his stick, his patience on the Z shortie and the difficultly of that angle to actually bury it, and Sammy's gorgeous out-of-mid-air deflection. Just an absolute clinic last night!

Gotta go with the 7-0 in 2002. Classic game tonight.....2002 was EPIC!
-
Well, I can't change how you feel about him. Cheers
-
For anyone that's sane, its out of the realm of possibility. Aside from being a part of the team was the Wings' fiercest rival over the late 90's, what did Joe ever do to be lumped in with any of those hated players aside from being on their team? Same goes for Yzerman to Avs fans.
