First and foremost, none of us know Brunnstrom or what his intentions are so no one can 100% say he's riding around on a high horse making teams jump through hoops for him. Perhaps he has no idea where he wants to be given that he's never spent any extended time here, and given his unique situation (being a UFA at a normal RFA's age and no idea what the environment is like in any NHL towns), he could very well just be seeing what its like to play in these towns. Now, if he is running around on a high horse then I'm with those that say they should stick him in a room with Cleary. Unfortunately, part of the problem here is that he's probably been given a big head by all this attention he's been given due to his unique situation. Regardless, if this is the case I'd like to see him step up by taking a step back and doing the hard work. The way it comes off in some of these articles, it doesn't seem like he's willing to do that given that Vancouver allegedly gave him their word that he'd get top-6 minutes (which I find hilarious BTW.....guaranteed ice-time ). Again, no one knows his honest intentions. This could very well be his agent pinning teams against each other in order to get the best opportunity and the most money for his client. At the same time, it could be that Brunnstrom wants to be handed things on a silver platter, in which case....I don't want him on the Wings until he grows up. However, until someone can actually 100% confirm his intentions maybe we all shouldn't be judging his character. Lastly, gcom007......I completely agree this kid will not live up to expectations. Everyone is so high on him and he seems to be this major trophy everyone's trying to get, but its funny how no one even shot a look his way during last years draft. I wonder why that is, and why SO much has changed in a matter of 6 months.

Probably not the most credible site, but nonetheless I didn't find anything else about this on any of the other Wings sources pages. Samuelsson Injury Report

Really? Why have you been ignoring me just because I disagreed with you on the Forsberg high stick intent? I just saw it differently than you, I didn't think that was a reason to ignore me. I'm kind of confused by this statement. Are you telling me that in regards to how the media will perceive, or that you will feel like the Wings got a free pass due to injuries? If the latter is the case, I simply posed the obvious question in regards to the Wings missing a lot of their top talent during last years WCF's. I don't really feel the Ducks have to defend themselves for beating the Griffins defense, and I don't feel the Wings should have to defend themselves for another teams misfortune, because thats what it is....a misfortune. Salary or Hourly? Sorry, back on topic......Foresberg never should've came back.

Sidenote: Who works a 9-5 these days? All I know is a 7:30-5:30/6:00. Where can I sign up for one of those?

I don't agree. Those are the breaks when it comes in the playoffs. If people want to look at it that way, what's to stop them (aside from Chris Chelios--BTW, where has sirdrake been?) from saying that about the Wings-Ducks series last year minus 2 of their top 3 defensemen?

Way to make a comeback Peter. What a waste.

I let the on-ice play do the talking for me. It's always fun to give a little good-natured ribbing, but beyond that those that continue busting chops are just spinning their wheels.

A warning to the Stars (and the eastern conference)

As do I. A PM has been sent to MotownIce regarding that, and I'm awaiting a response. -

What do you mean? I thought any logo that was recreated is a form of copyright infringement. I altered this logo a little and inverted the color, which I believe covers all bases for copyright infringement. No? I certainly could add an LGW logo with Matt's permission, but I obviously want him to give me the go ahead before I do that since he owns it. -

I kow that, but that wasn't the point of what I was saying. I was referring to people that feel the need to be loyal to the team that initially drafts them, which wasn't the case for Sundin. He was moved, found a team he loved to be a part of and his loyalty hasn't wavered. That's commendable given that it sounds like he'd rather retire than be a part of another team (even at the start of the season rather than the trade deadline) that could potentially win a Cup.
-
I completely agree. It's pretty incredible that a guy has so much pride and loyalty in a team that he'd rather retire than start a new season with a serious Cup contender. That's beyond loyalty, and I commend him if his convictions are that strong. Sidenote: I know you know this Eva, but this is for everyone elses general knowledge. Another incredible fact is that he wasn't even drafted by Toronto, rather Quebec took him with the first pick of the '89 draft. That alone differentiates him from Yzerman, Sakic, Crosby and Ovechkin in regards to being loyal to the team that believed in you from the get-go.

Dallas can close the series out tonight with a win, but for some reason I have a feeling San Jose will take this one, only to lose Game 5 at home. Philly actually looks like they care about being in the playoffs so I'll have to go with them tonight.
-
Well......can't say I didn't call it. I'm gald to see the Sharks prolong the series one more game, but one thing that I would hate to see is them run the table now. I don't see it happening, but it has happened twice before. As I said before though, SJ will lose Game at home and the Stars will move on to the WCF's.
-
Now this is a great nickname for Z and Dats. From the Game 4 Preview: :rotflmao: Sucks to be Z!
-
I would assume the game was nearing the end and the other team had their goalie pulled for an extra attacker....hence the empty net.

Forsberg Excuses, Sakic Attempt at kneeing Dats?
NeverForgetMac25 replied to Wingsor's topic in General
What time of the game did the knee-out at Dats attempt take place? I wan't to see tonight. -
He probably just doesn't want the Wings to win the Cup until he can bail on Sabres and earn it in Detroit himself. Seriously, who cares who he's rooting for? He's also golfing right now.......hopefully the same as Liles will be Friday morning.

I think its because people that go to the event or watch it on TV are too drunk to understand what the hell is actually on. Nascar is the lamest excuse of a sport there is.
