Anemic PP thus far to say the least.
-
Devils on the PP.
-
It's a goal in New York. Brylin gets it...1-0 Devils.
-
Brylin goal in New York waived off because of kicking, but it wasn't exactly a kicking motion. He just moved his skate forward on the ice. Interesting call coming.
-
Scratch that. Lucic negates it with a Boarding call.
-
Boston on the early PP. Hamrlik off for Roughing.
-
Underway in Boston.........and New York now.
-
Fair enough, but personally I look at it as camaraderie. Yes, I associate it with soccer as well, but it's always nice having the entire crowd get into a chant, and I could think of far worse things to scream than that.
-
It'll be interesting to see how his career develops given the circumstances of his season. I wouldn't have minded him becoming a Red Wing, but I'm not heart-broken either.
-
Personally, I'd love to see Mac put the fear of god in him. Just subtly let him know on the ice that his sh*t won't be tolerated with a nice clean hit with some choice words following it.
-
I'm not going to bother comparing Hartigan and McCarty to Downey, because to say he deserves to play more than Samuelsson is ridiculous.
-
But are you seriously going to lose any sleep over it if they do? What's the big deal?
-
PHI ties the series at 1, with a 2-0 win. See you all in a few hours for the NJD/NYR and MTL/BOS games.
-
Another PP for the Caps with nothing to show for it.....and now the Caps go on the PK.
-
Apparently when Ovechkin gave Upshall a little chop, Scottie replied by saying "I don't care who you are or how much money you make, I'm not going to take that". God, sportscasters love to hear themselves talk.
-
Bet you could've now?
-
I think emotions are running too high and they're ready for a letdown. NYR wins Game 4, loses Game 5 and finishes up at home in Game 6. TBH, I still bet on Brodeur this round in the Playoff picks game, but I'm starting waiver.
-
Not to nitpick, but Anaheim has a 1.0 GFA over the first two games. 0 Goals in Game 1, 2 Goals in Game 2. 2 Goals/2 Games = 1.0 GFA.
-
In regards to Downey, I doubt he'll make any changes with Mac finding the back of the net (which would be his likely replacement). As the team is playing right now, he shouldn't be making any changes.
-
The thing is, if he's not defensively responsible (or solid for that matter) as a defenseman, how defensively responsible do you think he'll be as an offenseman? Cutting ties with him wouldn't be the worst thing, given the depth in GR and what you might be able to fetch for him.
-
The Ole chant is "a little too Canadian"? I firmly believe its European.
-
While I'm all about moving Lebda given the depth the Wings have in GR, people need to be realistic about what they're going to get back for him. Yes, the Wings have one of the best D's in the league but he's probably never going to be more than a third pairing guy or a top-4 guy on the worst of teams. A guy like Lebda will fetch you something, but I think a decent pick/role player is about it.
-
That's fine....let them focus on their excuses because if they keep blaming the officiating rather than focusing on what they need to do they'll be golfing by next weekend. Nevermind the fact that the first goal they had yesterday was obviously pure skill.
-
Tough luck for the Preds, but great news for the Wings. Anytime opportunities like these present themselves to end a series faster you need to capitalize immediately.
