Awwwww, thats nice. Welcome to the about-to-be-banned club.

But not you. It'll be an interesting last week between you and I. Scratch that, I've got a 3 point lead on you which I better be able to hold up.

I couldn'tt agree more with this statement, and not even in regards to the Wings offense but the SJ defense. Adding Campbell was a huge boost for them, but their defense is still suspect IMO regardless of them only allowing 8 more goals than Detroit. If you contain their offense they'll crumble.

I'd like to punch myself in the face for getting a 15.

NHL looking at a 56.3M Salary Cap Next season?

Did Minnesota lose to Appalachian State this year too? Edit: Just kidding....I don't dislike any Michigan teams at all, while I can't stand any of them from Minnesota. -
The sad truth of the matter is that if these two switched sweaters for a game, I guarantee people would be saying how great Mac looked out there and that Downey looked "off". Mac needs to continue to work and if he shows capable (or barring injuries--knock on wood) he'll play. If not, than he just simply isn't better than Downey at this point in time and in that case shouldn't get the nod over Aaron. That being said, having a guy like Mac on the roster does give Babs the opportunity to have a different roster style should the need present itself.

I was at that game as well, and as it was pointed out, the Wings were down by 2 heading in to the final minute of the third. They either scored with 37 & 9 seconds left or 39 & 7 seconds left in the third period. Either way, the goal Dats scored literally took the war room in Toronto over 10 minutes and upwards of 15 to determine if it was completely over the line.

Technically he didn't retire, but he hasn't played a game all season either. He had hip-surgery in the off-season.

What does that have to do with Versus not wanting to give up the NHL to ESPN? Would it be great if Versus became a more complete sports network which had its own version of Sportscenter: Of course. However, that's not a reason as to why Versus would "give up" the NHL to ESPN.
-
Did you make that? That's an instant classic!
-
Thanks V. I didn't feel like looking it up, but I assumed exactly what your link confirmed. Not directed toward you, but now why would Versus "give up the NHL" to ESPN? They'll probably do whatever it takes to keep them, where as ESPN would play the bow down to us card if the league were working something out. It's the whole theory of "one woman's trash is another woman's treasure."
-
Exactly! These so-called experts don't even bother me anymore, because they just lose any respect and credibility before I even get angry.
-
Does anyone here know what the ratings were on OLN/Versus before the NHL signed with them versus (no pun intended) what they are now? I'd be willing to bet Versus would do what it takes to keep the NHL on their network simply due to what I would think was a pretty decent revenue increase following the agreement.
-
Don't even get me started on the NHLN.

TBH, with the odds that are out there it wouldn't be a bad idea at all to put money on Detroit, Anaheim and San Jose. I'd say there's about a 85% chance that one of those three teams are going to win the cup. In fact, I just might do that.
-
Versus had that game scheduled to be shown at the beginning of the season. NBC decided to play the Pens/Rags games recently, so I'd think you'd be more upset with them. I know you know this, but a network is going to show the games that net them the most money. It may be annoying to you and I but they're going to do whats in the best interest of their network. If you don't like it, subscribe to CI and you can watch any game you want.

Why do so many people look down on Holland simply because he only made one deal? Stuart is a huge addition, but even putting him aside Holland didn't sell the farm, yet made this current Wings team tougher to play against in the playoffs. I swear, nobody will ever be pleased regardless of the smart moves Holland makes. -

If the debate was about fighting in general, but not about the validity of it in the sport. There's plenty of arguments for fighting in the NHL, especially if the rules stay the way they are.
-
Congrats Bertuzzi....way to pass the buck for your own stupidity and negligence.
-
That's true, and I completely forgot the Cheechoo incident was the result of Kunitz. If the game gets out of hand score-wise in the Ducks favor, I can see the Sharks losing their tempers and gooning it up a little bit. Thornton gets that way when he's frustrated.
-
Why do you say that? The Sharks play a pretty clean game.....they're physical, but for the most part not cheap. The Ducks on the other hand......
-
I noticed under your Avatar you have written, "Winning debates all across LGW.com". You certainly won't win this one.
