Typical.

Is it just me, or is Kronwall more impressive the more major his role is? He looked just fine out there last night but he did make a few mistakes that he's made many times before. I noticed when Lids and Raf were out he was better than I've ever seen him before, and he really stepped up his game knowing he was the number 1 defenseman. If he can continue to play like that when he's got the number 1 billing I won't go in to complete panic mode when Lids retires. Before anyone says it, No this has nothing to do with Lids being back and Kronwall not looking as spectacular because Lids makes everyone look subpar. This has to do with the level of play Kronwall elevated to when thrust into the number 1 slot.

10? What a terrible weekend.

I don't think its that, as pretty much fans of the remaining 29 NHL teams all dislike Pronger. I think this is plain and simple star treatment. Pronger is one of the best defensemen in the game and the league doesn't want those players out of the lineup. Therefore, he'll get a light suspension nowhere close to 30 games.

That is one giant man-ring!

Now that's funny!

Completely agreed, and I stated that multiple times towardst the beginning of the thread. Someone already made this mistake, but people need to read someone's entire post instread of being so quick to hit "reply" and start typing. Thanks to therock48880 for clearing up things to Deke before I noticed the post.

With the first video that was released yesterday I can see why the league didn't punish Pronger simply due to how foggy the clip was (even though it still looked like a malicious move). This however is beyond damning evidence. There is no excuse for the league to let him get away with this. I'm embarrassed for the NHL today.

I wasn't talking about the stomping incident. I was referring to the Handzus shot after the whistle incident, which Pronger had every right to go after him after that. As for the stomping incident, I've posted in this thread easily 5 times saying how complete BS it is that Pronger not only did that, but the league let him get away with it. Don't be so quick to type, because you obviously didn't know which incident I was referring to.

Wow! If that isn't the kettle calling the pot black, I don't know what is. :nonono:

Regardless of whether being injured plays a role in determining whether a player gets suspended or not, there should be *NO* argument that it should hold no bearing. Pronger deserved his suspension last year regardless of whether or not he injured Homer. It was a cheapshot, and Pronger is well known for those.
-
Gotta agree with Duck Guy on this one. Dont get me wrong...Pronger is a complete dumbass, but he had every right to go after him on this particular play. You don't shoot the puck after the whistle has not only blown, but *clearly* blown.
-
QFT again, and again, and again! *For his role on the team* he's beyond a great player.
-
Regardless of whether Cheli should sit or not, no way would Babcock play Meech over Lebda right now (even though he probably should).

End of 1 1-1

Nice to see Dallas' pace slow down. They were flying the first 5 minutes.

Wings PP Tripping

What does "Kylla" mean?
-
Stuart waiting a hair to long. He needs to turn just a hair quicker.
-
That was a beauty of a redirection by Franzen. Sidenote: Dallas sure skates well.

Similarly to football pads where you can greatly notice the pads covering the front of the thighs, hockey pads do the same but in more discrete manner. Just like football pads there isn't any protection on the inner thigh where Pronger stomped on Kesler. My thought is that he just barely caught enough of the frontal pad that it absorbed the brunt of the blow. Does that make sense? Edit: egroen makes a solid point as well.

I'm curious if anyone in Anaheim knew what the NHL was before it came to Anaheim.
-
I'm not trying to be rude, but what on earth makes you think that the refs will be watching him alot closer in the next few weeks due to him not getting a suspension?
