Just saw the video.....Yeah most hockey players start their skating stride by lifting their foot straight up and pushing down flat on the ice. I hear if you do that it makes you jump in the air and start your stride faster. Anyone to claim that Pronger was just starting his stride is full of sh*t.

Yeah, that's a different one than allducks.com (which seems to be more popular than the nhl.com hosted forum). That being said, allducks.com is pretty ridiculous. If you think the homer's are bad here at LGW....don't even bother.

But that's what makes it BS. I don't care who it is, if you're going to step on someone's calf with a sharp skate blade you should be penalized the same as anyone else. The same goes for any player (star or not) on the Red Wings. He may not get 30 games, as the severity of Simon's suspension was party the result of him just coming back from suspension, but he shouldn't get less than 15. Edit: (Kelsey) Grammar

I agree, and the league can't argue for less games than Simon due to both of their pasts having "instances". 30 Games, nothing less.

Nor am I. The fact of the matter is for the amount he gets paid he's not bad at all, but he does need to work on shot selection as well as aim.

I'm not defending the validity of the saying, I'm just telling people here that its tradition in Chicago. The Wings could be 82-0 and the Hawks 0-82 and "Detroit would still suck". It's more a matter of hating your enemy than comments with substance.

Blackhawks fans always say "Detroit Sucks". It's not a matter of where the Wings or the Blackhawks are in the standings..."Detroit Sucks" is their slogan when playing the Wings. That being said, whatever you gotta tell yourselves Blackhawks fans.
