I'd be more inclined to think we'll see your lines rather than stacking the top line (Sammy not included). Hopefully he gets back soon and gets back to his early season goal scoring ways. He's got 3 goals in his past 10 games (which isn't horrible), but it would be great to see the consistency he showed to to start the season. Plus, his body on the PP is essential.

I read about this a few weeks ago. Very George Jetson-like!

Did anyone just see the Eager-Roberts bout? Easily one of the best I've seen all season. Tons of huge shots being thrown, and a solid amount of connections. PHI is winning 5-2 and Eager came into the boards (with an elbow up) at Laraque. They were broken up pretty much right away given that they were practically on top of each other after the initial hit. The reffing crew missed the elbow, and just gave Laraque a double minor. After that was all said an done, Roberts came to Laraque's "defense" and fought Eager. Great bout. I'll post the link tomorrow when it becomes available. Sidenote: The score is now 6-2, with Lupul having a point on every single goal. The latest goal completed his hat trick. Hell of a night for him. Did anyone just see the Eager-Roberts bout? Thanks for posting Kozac. Great bout, and the win goes to Parros. He landed more quality punches. I'm not sure which punch it was, but he cut Shelley under the eye with one those shots. Sidenote: Those new jerseys must be made of twill.

Ozzie sucks. He should be 16-0. 14-1-1....BS!

It was a great shot, and I firmly believe Filppula caught the fact that Ellis wasn't backing up quick enough, thus making his move look quite simple. Filppula didn't even look like he flinched in putting that puck past Ellis and with how far out Ellis was when Filp released the shot, it was a shoe-in.

Sure, its nice and it helps in the standings, but I was referring to this magical number 10 that the Wings have yet to attain. I just don't see it as this huge deal that some others do. I see number 10 as 20 points that gives the team some breathing room. Nothing more. But just so Konnan511 doesn't go apes***, yes I do feel the Wings could win the next 3 and possibly more given their schedule over the next few games.

That's the thing, I don't mean to sound like a player......that's just seriously how I feel. There's a lot that ways to do what you just said. Which idea(s) do you feel strongly about? Regular season? Post season? Regular season start date?

QFT The Wings looked like a team that played and traveled the night before, and if not for Ozzie that game would've been around 5-2 in favor of Nashville. The first 10 minutes and the entire final period very much showed the Wings were the more tired team. to you Ozzie! Another phenomenal performance.

How so? I can see your argument but lets break this down even though I know we're never going to come to a consensus seeing as that this is a complete opinion thread. I completely understand that the foundation was in place to win the Cup before Shanny was even acquired, but adding a player like that is what put the team over the top (that and the subtraction of Coffey and Primeau). Obviously the simple-minded argument was that Shanny was the missing piece that put them over the top. However, if you subtract Fedorov from the equation, you take away a playoff beast that was beyond dominant. The reason, IMO the edge goes to Shanny was because I believe the Wings had enough depth at center to overcome the deep loss of Fedorov, but I'm not sure they had enough size/scoring depth at Winger to overcome that of Shanny, because it was proven in the past that the Wings finesse team failed in the playoffs. So I guess right now, with the current status of the Wings, I guess I wouldn't have much of a preference to either of the 96-97 Shanny or Fedorov coming back, as I feel this current Wings roster proved they can tough it out in the playoffs. I feel they turned a corner last post season in what they need to do in order to be successful in the playoffs, and its kind of a toss-up as to which of those two might help this *current* team more.

It's not about being too serious about this, its about it being unimportant. At the end of the year, whether the Wings win the cup or not, are you seriously going to care if they won 10 games in a row from the end of November to mid December? I don't really care, and while it would be nice, I'd be willing to bet the players don't care about it that much either.

I doubt Kenny Phillips would fall this far but I wouldn't mind taking him with the Packers first round pick. I'm not ready to give up on Jackson this quick. Lock up Grant, and let Jackson develop. If Grant can be the guy, and Jackson can be dependable, along with Morency as the primary blocking back, Green Bay will be fine. That being said, it probably wouldn't be the worst idea to get another RB, but a good amount of RB's drafted even that late in the first round don't turn out to be difference makers.

Honestly, all I care about is win number 8. After that than I'll care about win number 9, and then win number 10. While feets like this are nice to accomplish, they don't define a team. What a team does in June is how they're defined.

Of course! Delay of game to Rafalski.
-
All I want is puck possession.
-
It's so blatantly obvious that the Wings are just playing not to lose. I don't mind that so much at this point of the game, but it was apparent since the puck dropped to open the period.
-
I don't even want to know the time of possession this period. It's gotta be a sickening number.
-
Osgood is a God! Way too many breakdowns in the defensive zone, especially down low.
-
Beautiful breakup by Lilja. Smart play and great positioning.
-
Regardless of the ineffective PP's for both teams, this PP/PK will totally shift the game in one direction or the other.
-
They should.

Did anybody just see Franzen use the boards twice to blow right by two seperate Predators?
-
And here comes the momentum shift......Sigh
-
It'd be a great time to get one. Get the crowd out of it before Nashville has a chance to gain the momentum.

Well aren't you a treat.
