There really isn't much to complain about, but tomorrow the Wings should work on finishing their 2-on-1's. We've missed a handful this period.

And just one post later, I posted the following: I figured people would catch my drift a little better than they did, so I clarified. I'm referring to actual game play, not the situation that took place between the Wings and Avs. Again, people take every single word that's posted on these boards so literally all the time. It makes it very difficult to make the simplest of statements.

My point is, why do you need to charge in the first place? Can't you lay out a bone-crushing hit within the legal rules of the game? Retribution for a cheapshot from a past game is nothing like what I'm describing. Seriously people, stop taking every single word of my post so literally. If you don't know what I'm tlaking about, then actually read the rest of my post.

Big hits are fine.......pulling a Pronger-on-Holmstrom like last year is not a good play, and it is illegal.

Did you read my follow up to that? I'll post it for you: Aside from breaking up a scoring opportunity how can an illegal charge, rough or elbow be a good thing. I wouldn't lump discretions like fighting into the mix seeing as that its generally away from the play, and doesn't break up a scoring chance. I'm all for fighting or hitting in order to swing the momentum of the game, but that has nothing to do with the illegal plays I'm referring to.

Fair enough. Fedorov was the more talented of the two no doubt, but Shanny was the more needed player based on the Wings roster at that point. Shanny brough an element of toughness that the Wings' forwards were lacking, and he was a natural scoring winger. The team had enough solid centermen, but Shanny was the more dire need for that team.

Major bummer that Detroit couldn't pull off the upset, but a great all-around win for the Pack. Dominant on all 3 teams (offense, defense, special).

From what I remember, those guys actually fashioned those up themselves. It's not as though a store sells them. What you'd have to do is buy the light and the helmet separately, and then hook them up to a battery pack.

To me, its more the other way around. Penalty: No, Dirty: Somewhat, but not totally. That's what I meant by this comment: Maybe I shouldn't have used the word "only", but I figured you'd understand that I was in agreement with you as far the illegal plays that would involve disrupting a scoring chance. But he did make contact with his stick first. I wouldn't doubt that.
