Bad hit from behind by Lilja. Gotta be more careful with those.

Gotta love an original 6 matchup. Let's drop the puck. I think the first 10 minutes of this game will tell alot about Hasek.

Sirdrake..........how was your month long hiatus? Next time make sure to give a hypothetical situation involving Chelios. Give us another thread. After seeing your video, I retract my statement. http://www.jibjab.com/starring_you/receipt/3740706

I didn't post because you summed up a lot of what I was thinking. I'm still extremely optimistic if we play them again, even if the game is in Dallas. Say what you want about Favre in Dallas, but had he not been instructed to go down field so much during his time in the game, and had McCarthy just stuck with what has worked in the past, I think Favre would've done just fine the rest of the game. I don't fault McCarthy for airing it out against the poor Dallas secondary.........I'd of done the same thing, but the amount he did it was too much. Had we established some offensive rhythm right away, then you mix in a shot down field once every 7-10 plays. What is encouraging is that as soon as we got down, McCarthy and Co went right back to what they've been successful at these past 2 months, and it worked like a charm. Couple that with zero pass rush (partly KGB and Jolly, partly a poor game by our line and a great game by their line), Harris being beyond terrible and Bush obviously not anything close to Woodsen, and you've got problems. The thing is, the next time we play them we'll have Woodsen lining up opposite Harris. Al can bump TO at the line of scrimmage, and then we can pull a safety to double him up all game. I'm not worried about Woodsen, but Al needs the help against TO. Let's face it.....he got worked. While I was upset with a couple poor calls (Harris stripping TO, and the bomb Pass interference), I thought the majority of the reffing all night was pretty fair. After all that being said, the Packers *still* had a chance to go ahead in this game after trailing 27-10. I think if the Packers stick to what makes them successful, and are healthy on defense, we got a great shot of upsetting them.......especially after losing Round 1 (I.E. Revenge type of thing).

A Tribute Video no Packers or Favre fan should miss. It'll bring tears to your eyes.

While some of the things the JLA music guys plays can get old, there's a good amount that are hilarious. "I can see Clearly now, Doo-Lang (He's So Fine), Wide Open Spaces are all great. It all comes down to personal preference. I think he's doing great and I look forward to him finding new goal songs for the other Wings that currently are without one.

True, but you would think after people read the article they would find it somewhat fishy.

Are you familiar with The Onion? It's a humorous "newspaper" that makes jokes, but doesn't report actual news.

Osgood in net for Phoenix; Hasek in net for Montreal

Then going by your terms, that means that Ozzie only has 1 loss playing in 63% of the games played thus far compared to Dom's 2 losses in only 37% of the Wings' games. Just something to think about. Sh*t.......why did I get involved in this. :nonono: -
Exactly my thoughts. Score 1 or 2 goals a game in the playoffs and Giguere finds a way to close the door to the other team. Even if their scoring problems continue into the playoffs Giguere will keep them in the game.

Hi.......this is the kettle calling the pot...........You're Black.

I don't mean to play devils advocate, but if Anaheim finds a way to get out of this slump before it goes too much farther and makes the playoffs, they'll be in fine shape. I don't care how you feel about Giguere, the guy flat-out steps up during the playoffs. Could've fooled us by your post.

12/22.....Another weekend drowning in mediocrity.

God I hope this happens due to the trip you're making. I'll PM you later.

My scores have been an absolute joke recently, thus I keep getting stuck around the 12 spot. Time to turn things around. Edit: (Kelsy) Grammar

Red Wing and Packer game tonight........does life get any better than that? I'll watch and post during the first period, but after that I'll be watching both games at the same time and that will require all my attention. Here's hoping for a DET/GB win!

Bettman: No NHLers at 2014 Olympics possible
NeverForgetMac25 replied to Son of a Wing's topic in General
Lame. Simple as that. -
No offense to Hasek but that goes to show you that people are voting him in based on his name rather than his play this season. The voters must not be paying much attention to the actual NHL.

Bulls***..........I know he did it! That's hilarious. How funny would it be if Z got detained while on a jog.

Don't apologize, I was just wondering how the hell you did it? I didn't think one could post a new thread without an initial post.

Sidenote: Auxlepli, why did you start a thread without posting a link or even an initial post? I didn't think one could do that actually?
